Kill Bill - Yuki's Revenge (2025): Quentin Tarantino Lied About Film

Now this is a real first, at least as far as we can see, massively popular videogame Fortnite used its engine to render a deleted sequence from Quentin Tarantino's "Kill Bill" and made it viewable in game. It was such an unusual and unexpected thing to happen, we just had to cover it. Visit our website at www.vgmovie.co.uk Visit our Wiki of Videogame Adaptations at www.vgmp.fandom.com

Mirai Ninja (1988): Power Rangers Meets Samurai Japan

Now, you probably thought that Super Mario Bros. (1993) was the first videogame movie, right? That's what mummy and daddy told you when you were a tiny child who hadn't been awoken yet to how bad videogame movies could be? Well, your parents lied kid. The ACTUAL first videogame movie is THIS: Mirai Ninja from the fine folks at Namco Bandai was made in conjunction with the videogame of the same name and was released in 1988 a full five years before Super Mario Bros. however, it was only released in Japan at the time which is why most people don't remember it. This low budget movie is an odd blend of martial arts, sci-fi and Power Rangers. Seriously. It has to be seen to be believed. King Koopa's Kool Kartoons (1989): Genuinely Our Best Episode, Jamie HATES This

It wouldn't be the final days of VGMP without Jamie having one more rage-filled meltdown and Rory certainly saved the best for last! King Koopa's Kool Kartoons is a forgotten (not to mention lost) TV series from 1989, of which only 8 surviving minutes have been found. How bad can 8 minutes be? Well, strap in and pop on your headphones as we discuss the worst eight minutes you have ever heard in your life. Seriously. Saturday Supercade (1983): When Making One Crap Adaptation Isn't Enough

It's a bumper episode this week as we cover multiple game adaptations in one! Saturday Supercade was a compilation cartoon series which aired in the USA and included adaptations of games such as Donkey Kong, Q*Bert, Frogger and Space Ace amongst others! Maniac Mansion (1990): Eugene Levy Produces A LucasArts Sitcom

This is one of the oddest things we've ever covered here on VGMP. Purportedly based on a 1980s computer game (though bearing essentially no resemblance to said game), this sitcom includes Eugene Levy (Schitt's Creek, American Pie) amongst its writers and several guest stars including Martin Short and David Cronenberg. The show ran for 3 seasons in the early 90s but is now largely forgotten, so the question is, is there any value to be found in digging this back up? Pac-Man (1982): Hanna Barbera Made A Show With Racial Slurs

Way back in 1982 this cartoon show based on the hit arcade game "Pac-Man" was momentarily the most viewed Saturday morning cartoon on US Television. Featuring both Pac-Man and Ms. Pac-Man, the show adds a fifth ghost to the games usual cadre of four as well as an evil overlord character named Mezmero. Does a Saturday morning Pac-Man cartoon hold up in 2025? Does it remain as timeless as the classic arcade game or does it feel like a relic lost to time? TV Powww! (1978): When Sexism And No Money Was Acceptable

A bonus mini-episode to look at this forgotten oddity from history; the TV Powww was a videogame system sold to local TV stations in the USA in the 1970s that allowed contestants to call up and play an interactive game by shouting the word "pow" into their phone. Max Payne (2008): Marky Mark And The Crime-y Hunch

Based on Remedy's hit action-noir game from the PS2 era, Max Payne stars Mark Wahlberg and Mila Kunis along with Beau Bridges and has a fairly poor reputation. Remedy are known for their excellent stories in videogames but how does that translate to the big screen? It's time to strap in and find out as we watch Max Payne. The King of Fighters (2009): Nikita Versus Darth Maul Sounds Great!

Based on the SNK Fighting Game and featuring Nikita and Darth Maul, helmed by a prolific Hong Kong Director, The King Of Fighters is not a good movie. But it also isn't a boring movie. Combining cheesy one-liners, bright colours, martial arts and the biggest overuse of dutch angles you've ever seen, The King Of Fighters might not be good cinema, but it's certainly an experience. Red Factions: Origins (2011): T-1000 Returns In A Sy-Fy Channel Original

An origins film that is neither the origins of its franchise nor a prequel at all. Red Faction: Origins is actually the sequel to Red Faction: Guerilla and follows the son of that game's protagonist. A low budget sci-fi epic made by the SyFy Channel...the odds aren't in this films favour. Visit our website at www.vgmovie.co.uk Visit our Wiki of Videogame Adaptations at www.vgmp.fandom.com
