Week 3 - Month of Renewal Series 8-17-25

Week 3: Championing Heaven’s Realities This week we dive into Colossians 3:1-2 and the call to set our hearts on the realities of heaven. What does that look like? It means more than simply believing—it means championing the realities of God’s Kingdom here on earth. In this message, we explore how heaven reveals unity where earth is divided. Revelation 7 paints the picture: people from every tribe, nation, and tongue gathered as one before the throne. Yet too often, the church reflects division instead of oneness. Jesus didn’t say He was building a black church, white church, Baptist church, or Pentecostal church—He said He was building His Church. We’ll uncover what it means to find your true “own kind” not in skin color, culture, or class, but in those who have been made alive in Christ. Together, we’ll see why second-chance people live differently—marked by kindness, forgiveness, and joy even in hardship. Join us as we learn to champion heaven’s realities—even when it’s uncomfortable, even when it’s unfamiliar, and even when it costs us everything.

Week 2 - Month of Renewal Series - August 10th, 2025

In Acts 16, Paul and Silas were beaten, chained, and thrown into the deepest part of a prison—yet they were undaunted. They didn’t sing for the victory, they sang from the victory. This week, we explore how joy and freedom are inward realities that no outward chain can steal, why following Jesus is worth every trial, and what it means to truly “live sent.” From the prison cell to the streets of your neighborhood, you were placed where you are on purpose, for a purpose. Discover how to embrace the mission God has given you—because if the mission is painless, the vision is pointless. Scripture: Acts 16:16–40, Luke 6:22–23

Week 1 - Month of Renewal Series

In this first message of our Month of Renewal series, we confront the silent distractions that pull us away from Jesus—what Scripture and life experience call “chasing ghosts.” Drawing from 2 Samuel 13, we look at King David’s grief over Amnon and ask: Are we mourning who someone was, who they became, or who we hoped they’d be? And in our own lives—how often do we dwell on what could’ve been instead of what is? “Ghosts” are past versions of people, missed opportunities, and imagined futures that keep us from walking in the freedom and focus God has for us. They make it hard to fight the good fight. Hard to keep our hands on the plow. Hard to fix our eyes on Jesus. But this is the call of renewal: to stop chasing what was never real and begin living fully in the present—where Jesus is knocking. 🔔 Also includes a powerful prayer over students and teachers entering a new school year. Let this message re-center your heart, renew your mind, and make way for the Kingdom of God.

Living in the tension of 2 different worlds! - July 13th, 2025

📖 Exodus 1–2 | Galatians 4 | Philippians 3 | 2 Corinthians 5 What do you do when you feel stuck between two worlds—longing for Heaven while living in a broken system? In this episode, Pastor Lindsey Melton Jr. explores the story of Moses as a shadow of Christ and a mirror for our own lives. Born Hebrew, raised Egyptian, Moses lived in the pressure of two opposing realities—just like every Jesus follower who holds dual citizenship: Heaven and Earth. We unpack the tension of being citizens of God's Kingdom while navigating the systems of this world. But this isn’t a message about escape—it’s about infiltration. Just as Christ stepped behind enemy lines to redeem, restore, and rescue, so now He makes His appeal through us (2 Cor. 5:20). Featuring powerful biblical parallels and real-life stories—from Bonhoeffer and Harriet Tubman to Esther—this message will stir your heart to be a bridge, not a bystander. Let Christ live His life through you. Let Heaven infiltrate Henderson County. You are not called to run from the tension—but to carry the Kingdom through it. 🙌 The Better Way has a name. What’s His name, church?

"Our Freedom in Christ" | 🎥 Sunday GATHERING LIVESTREAM | July 6th, 2025

What Does Freedom Really Look Like in 2025? In this episode, we dig deep into Galatians 4:4–5:1 to uncover what true freedom means in a world still tangled in legalism, distorted religion, and modern-day bondage. We explore: How legalism isn’t just rule-keeping—it’s slavery to self-righteousness Why today’s view of “religion” often misses the relational heart of the Gospel The dangerous extremes of legalism and license Real yokes of bondage we see every day: performance-based faith, financial fear, and soul-level loneliness But Jesus invites us into His yoke—light, grace-filled, and marked by communion with the Spirit. Not slavery, but union. 🕊️ “Lord, teach me how to be free in You.” 📍 From True North Church in Lexington, TN 🔗 Listen now and share it with someone hungry for real freedom.

Beatitudes Series FINAL WEEK - June 22nd 2025

In this final week of our Beatitudes series, we dig into Matthew 5:9–12 and Jesus’ call to be peacemakers—those who carry harmony into every space they occupy. But true peace doesn’t come cheap. As we learn from Christ Himself, peace was bought with blood, and living as a peacemaker may leave us cut, bruised, and misunderstood. We also unpack what real persecution looks like—not unpaid bills or daily inconveniences, but the kind of suffering that early disciples like Peter, James, and Bartholomew endured because of their unwavering faith. Jesus warned that persecution, false accusations, and slander would come—but so would reward. As wars and rumors of war rage in our world today, this episode anchors us in eternal perspective: this world isn’t falling apart—it’s falling into place for the return of the King. 🔊 Scriptures: Matthew 5:9–16, Matthew 24:6–8, Colossians 3:1–2, Daniel 9:26, Ephesians 6:12 💬 Key Idea: “Keep your eyes on the prize—peace costs, but the reward is eternal.”

Fathers day 2025

In Week 6 of our Beatitudes series, we explore what it truly means to be “pure in heart” (Matthew 5:8 CSB)—and it’s not about perfection. It’s about wholehearted devotion to God, a life free from compromise, and a heart that’s been cleansed by Jesus. Pastor Lindsey takes us deep into the meaning of katharos—clean, sincere, unstained—and shows us how purity flows from walking daily in the Spirit, guarding our hearts, and fixing our eyes on Christ. 💡 Featuring: The Seesaw Effect: why elevating the Spirit naturally lowers the flesh The Two Trees Analogy: your spirit vs. your old self A powerful reminder: “On your worst day, that’s not who you truly are.” A special Father’s Day altar call—a challenge for all dads and husbands to step into Spirit-led leadership (Galatians 5:25) This isn’t about striving for perfection. It’s about living free from guilt, performance, and dead religion—and walking in step with the Spirit every day.
