Father's Day 2026 Chronicles week 3

Chronicles – Week 3 | What's In Your Heart? This week, we explore Solomon's request for wisdom in 2 Chronicles 1 and discover why God was pleased with what was in his heart. Rather than seeking wealth or power, Solomon asked for Chokmah—the God-given wisdom to lead God's people in alignment with God's heart and purposes. In 2 Chronicles 9, the Queen of Sheba witnesses God's blessing on Solomon's life and responds with praise to God. Her response reminds us that our lives are meant to point others to Christ. We are walking billboards, and the way we steward our time, talents, relationships, and families should reflect His goodness. We also challenge every man to be both a warrior and a worshiper. Like Benaiah, who served in battle and in worship, godly men are called to protect their families, cultivate faith in their homes, and lead others toward Jesus through everyday life.

Chronicles series WEEK 2 - June 14th, 2026

Chronicles Series – Week 2: Inquire Again In Week 2 of our Chronicles series, we continue exploring how God invites us to view our history through the lens of His faithfulness rather than our failures. When we remember what God has done, hope is renewed, courage is restored, and faith begins to rise. Looking at 1 Chronicles 14, we discover David's habit of continually inquiring of the Lord. Even after receiving direction once, David didn't rely on yesterday's word for today's battle. When the opposition returned, David sought God again. His example reminds us that a thriving relationship with God is built on daily dependence, not occasional consultation. We also examine David's journey of bringing the Ark of the Covenant back to Jerusalem. After an unsuccessful attempt driven by human methods, David learned the importance of following God's instructions rather than relying on self-made solutions. The lesson is clear: God's presence cannot be approached on our terms but through His way. Finally, in 1 Chronicles 21, we see the danger of trusting our own strength instead of seeking God's wisdom. David's census reveals what happens when we look to our resources rather than to the Lord. Instead of Yahweh, David chose his way—and the consequences followed. This message is a call to cultivate a life led by the Spirit, to seek God daily, and to remember that success in God's Kingdom is never found in self-sufficiency. History Through the Lens of God’s Faithfulness | Chronicles Series – Week 1 What if the purpose of remembering the past isn't to relive it, but to rediscover the faithfulness of God within it? In Week 1 of our Chronicles series, we explore how the genealogies, stories, and mighty warriors recorded in 1 Chronicles point to a greater truth: God has always been faithful to His people. From Jacob being remembered as Israel—his redeemed identity—to the hidden faithfulness of the Merarites who supported worship behind the scenes, to David’s mighty men who stood with God’s anointed king, every chapter reminds us that God sees, redeems, strengthens, and works through ordinary people. Together we'll discover: • Why God remembers us by our redeemed identity, not our past failures • The power of unseen faithfulness in the Kingdom of God • Why David surrounded himself with giant-slayers • What Benaiah’s incredible victories reveal about courage and faith • How the mighty warriors foreshadow the greater victory of King Jesus Most importantly, we'll learn why 1 & 2 Chronicles were written—to help God’s people remember their history through the lens of His faithfulness and return to their First Love, even in difficult seasons. Podcast Episode Description What happens when we stop trying to be the deciding factor of our own lives? In this Pentecost message, Pastor Lindsey explores the transition from Acts 1 to Acts 2 and how the coming of the Holy Spirit changed the way God's people discern His will. Before Pentecost, the disciples cast lots to make important decisions, trusting God to guide the outcome. But after the Holy Spirit was poured out, we never see them return to that practice. Why? Because they were no longer relying on chance—they were being led by the Spirit. Drawing from Genesis 1, we also discover the rich Hebrew meaning of tov ("good"). When God declared creation good, He wasn't simply saying it was pleasant—He was recognizing that it was functioning according to His design and purpose. The same is true for us. We are most "good" when our lives are aligned with the intentions of our Creator. Pentecost Sunday - Homecoming 2026

On this special Pentecost Sunday + Homecoming gathering at True North Church, we explored why it is no coincidence these two moments landed together. From Genesis 1 to Acts 2, we traced the movement of the Holy Spirit across Scripture and discovered that the same Spirit who hovered over the waters in creation now lives within believers today. This message challenges the truth that the Holy Spirit is NOT only for “church moments” but He empowers believers in the day to day practical parts of our lives as well. We also unpacked the miracle of Pentecost, Peter’s bold sermon, and the explosive growth of the early church—not because of modern systems or productions, but because ordinary people were filled with the Spirit of God. The Holy Spirit is not distant. He is our Advocate, Helper, Companion, and the empowering presence of God dwelling within us. The same Spirit that raised Christ from the dead now lives in you. Pursuit - May 17th 2026

Discipleship isn’t like social media—it’s not a highlight reel. We don’t just post the wins; real discipleship includes the struggles, the failures, and everything in between. In this message, we break down why following Jesus can’t be reduced to a formula or system. Church growth isn’t scientific—it’s supernatural. The cross and the work of the Holy Spirit can’t be mass-produced. True discipleship requires slowing down, sharing life, and allowing the Holy Spirit to lead us daily. We dive into the power of impartation—“come and be with Me”—where identity is formed and character is caught, not just taught.
