Episode 14 (Dan "The SRAM Man" Jennings)

This one's been a long time coming. After numerous mentions throughout the Spokes People Podcast series, we've finally been able to sit down and talk with our special guest for this week Dan Jennings, or Dan "The SRAM Man" as he's sometimes referred. If you haven't been able to guess from that title, Dan is our friendly neighborhood Omaha regional representative for SRAM (the globally popular cycling parts manufacturer) that some of you may know well. In this episode, Dave (Henson) and Dan discuss a myriad of topics ranging from Dan's history with cycling and the SRAM corporation, to the many unique ways SRAM has given and continues to give back to the cycling community globally, nationally and locally, and a conversational preview of some exciting (possibly game changing) cycling equipment you may want to be aware of. [Shockingly, Dave (FDR) lost track of time and wasn't able to make it this week] Editor's note: As the trees change around our beautiful trails so too does our podcast logo. We hope you enjoy the new fall season design.

Episode 13 (Dave Randleman)

Lucky number 13, just in time for October. We've had a lot of excellent guests in the studio as of late, and with many more lined up for the future, we've decided now would be a good time to sit down and focus on one of our own. Dave Randleman, or as we like to call him, FDR [we'll let you imagine what the F stands for], joins us in the hot seat this week to tell Dave (Henson) about his own journey through cycling, some of his tips for proper bike maintenance as a mechanic and what his recent training journey this year has looked like. For those of you somewhat new to cycling or those looking for tips on how and when to care for your bike, this episode also serves as a great beginner's guide to bike maintenance. And if you feel this episode would serve a friend that could use the advice, be sure to share it with them as well.

Episode 12 (Harvest Racing for the Mark Savery Memorial Grand Prix)

Did you miss us? Dave and Dave have returned from their individual hiatuses and are here to being you another exhillerating episode of the Spokes People podcast. This week, FDR has brought in fellow Harvest Racing members Eric O’Brien and Rafal Doloto to discuss the Mark Savery Grand Prix, the wide reaching impact of the man it honors, and a little bit about why you should consider cycle cross racing as your next adventure.

Episode 11 (Theresa Bender)

Another Wednesday, another insightful and exhilarating conversation with Dave and Dave. This week they've finally been able to coordinate with special guest Endurance Athlete Theresa Bender to talk about her experience as an endurance athlete, her personal approach to training and nutrition, and her perspective on being a mother racer.

Episode 10 (Dirt Jumping with Mac Marousek)

We've made it to the big Ten, and Dave (Henson) and Dave (FDR) think it's about time they start relating to the kid's. More specifically, our special guest Mac Marousek, a young and accomplished dirt jumper, enduro rider and all around bike lover. Join us as Mac takes D&D through the lifestyle and mindset of himself as a rider, while they try to avoid sounding as geriatric as possible. [Warning: It was a bit of a noisy day in the shop.]

Episode 9 (Tuesday Night Worlds with Mark Sullivan)

Dave and Dave are back again, for another (mostly) insightful conversation about the wide world of cycling. This week they're joined by Mark Sullivan of Tuesday Night Worlds, to talk about Criterium racing and what makes it such an amazing yet underutilized part of a well-rounded racer's repertoire.

Episode 8 (Giant with Collin Earhart)

We’re on episode 8 of The Spokes People podcast and there’s no signs of slowing down. For this week’s adventure, your host Dave (Henson) and his co-host Dave (FDR) are joined by special guest Collin Earhart to talk all things Giant (bicycles), along with FDR’s jealousy of women’s bike colors and the real problem with E-bikes. And later on in the episode, (with the embargo now lifted as of this episode’s publication) Collin can reveal a next “Giant” step in the gravel bike scene.

Episode 7 (Tour de France talk w/ Troy)

With the Tour de France just one day away, Dave, Dave and special guest Troy Tellinghuisen sat down for an extra Friday episode to talk about the history of the tour, some personal predictions for this year's race, and how recent events are expected to greatly impact the outcomes. Whether you're an expert in all things Tour de France, or just someone that's looking to know a little more about it and what to watch for, this episode's sure to be the perfect prep for the biggest cycling event of the year.

Episode 6 (Nebraska Off-Road Series [NOS])

The prodigal Dave (FDR) has returned at last, after recovering from some very serious ailments, to join Dave (Henson) in episode 6 of The Spokes People Podcast. For this weeks episode, series director James Krist, sits down to talk all things NOS (Nebraska Off-Road Series). What got him started with the program, what it takes to put on, and what a rider like you might expect to find at one of their races. (along with how FDR may have made James' wife cry)

Episode 5 (Shop talk)

Rounding out our 5th episode, Dave (Henson) and previous guest Ken Theis take a pause on guest interviews to answer a few questions about the podcast, such as why it was started and what to expect from future episodes. Followed by a conversation about upcoming bike events in June and July. Later in the episode Dave and Ken are joined by Cole Mason to talk about his biking experience with downhill. [Dave (FDR) was sick]
