The Isolation

Nobody wants to go through isolation. Whether it is a God-induced isolation or an isolation based on your situation where people give up on you and leave you for dead, we can all agree that isolation does not feel good. But can I tell you that isolation (when ordained by God) is necessary for who is He is calling you to be. Isolation is that stage in the preserving greatness when the Lord pulls you away from the crowd to prune you. Many times most of us get so used to the noise of others opinions that we have forgotten the importance of God's desires for us. We are so used to the applause of others that sometimes our motives no longer derive from a place of authenticity but from outcome. Because the Lord wants us to remain pure, He will sometimes pull us away to redirect us back to what matters. No! Isolation is not punishment, it is actually an honor and privilege to be shut in with the Lord to learn of Him and for Him to teach us about ourselves. The Lord wants us to grow in intimate relationship with Him. He wants to build us so that He alone can get the glory. It is in the place of isolation that our spiritual senses are developed and heightened because we are now more accustomed to His voice. Isolation, though not desirable, is a necessary step in your elevation. Think about a sling shot, in order for it to propel forward you have to pull it back. That was the analogy the Lord gave me in 2020 when it felt like I was going back to square one. But then came 2021 and I was propelled forward like never before. If you are going through a season of God induced isolation remember that even Jesus was isolated for 40 days and 40 nights as He spent time in fasting and prayer connecting with The Father. Isolation, therefore is a season of preparation for your next level in God. As you listen in to this week's episode, I hope it is a blessing to you as it was to me. Stewarding Purpose Pt4

In this episode we continued looking at the topic 'Stewarding Purpose', highlighting the importance of understanding times and seasons. As believers we must be vigilant to seize the opportune times (kairos moments) that the Lord will give us and not allow procrastination to become our routine. If we fail to recognize these opportune moments we may miss out on what God is doing in the current moment and be stuck in a past encounter with Him. One of the worst places to be is 'where God was' and not where He is currently. As you listen to this our final episode in season 2, I pray it will be a blessing to you. And if it has, please feel free to like and share the podcast with a friend or family member. Until next time, this is the Polymath Podcast with Ms Neisha I'll see you on the other side.

Stewarding Purpose Pt3

This week we continue to look at the stewarding purpose with a focus on humility as an important aspect of stewarding purpose. We also emphasized the importance of being great servants if we desire to be great leaders. Joshua served Moses with humility and never complained about his role. When Moses died, the Lord called Joshua to that leadership position. Had Joshua not prepared himself in a former season, He wouldn't have been able to function effectively when it was time for him to do so. Similarly, David embodied humility in his call to be King. Although he was anointed to be King during his younger years, David continued tending to the sheep as a young shepherd boy. He didn't allow his anointing to get in the way of what he was currently doing. It was several years later that David was appointed to be King. But before he could sit in the palace as King he needed to be trained. Unlike normal kings who are trained inside of a palace, David was trained right there in his field; rescuing his sheep from lions and bears. In the beginning it may have seemed pointless for a king go be trained in the field for a royal role, but with God nothing is wasted. As you listen in I hope this is a blessing to you. Stewarding Purpose Pt2

In this week's episode we continue under the topic of stewarding purpose highlighting the importance of putting our talent to good use in spite of how small and insignificant it may look. We know that once it is God who has given us our talent then it is golden. It is great, it is grand but it is not insignificant, even though it may appear that way to us initially. God has created each and everyone of us with the capacity to do great things and so we have to rely on Him to help us walk in our callings to the best of our ability. Comparison will keep us stagnant but walking in godly confidence will help us to appreciate what the Lord has given to us and thereby bring glory to His name. As you listen in, I pray this will bless and encourage you greatly, and if it does please feel free to like and share the podcast with someone else and be a blessing to them too. Stewarding Purpose

In this week's episode, we looked at Stewarding Purpose. Stewardship means managing something that belongs to someone else. Jesus, as a preteen, was more excited about the knowledge he could gain from the doctors and teachers in the Temple. This was one of the ways Jesus stewarded his purpose. Like Jesus, we are called to steward our gifts and talents to ultimately bring glory to God. As you listen in, I hope this episode is a blessing to you. And if it is, please feel free to like and share the podcast. Until next time this is the Polymath Podcast with Ms Neisha, I'll see you on the other side.

Do Not Let the enemy Play Mind Games on You!

In this week's episode we spoke about the importance of knowing who God has called you to be and not allowing the enemy to play mind Games on you. The enemy will always use someone to try and deter us from the path of greatness but we should be vigilant of his tactics so that we do not get trapped in them. David's brothers did not understand the magnitude of his faith in God, they only saw a 'small boy' wanting to fight a giant that must've been 3x his size. However, David did not allow their belittling of him to stop him from going into battle and put an end to the attempted mockery against Israel. Like David, we should not allow other's ignorance of our purpose to cause us to be ignorant of our own purpose. In addition, we should not allow discouragement from even close friends & family members to stop us from doing what God has called us to do. As you listen in to this week's podcast, I pray it will be a tremendous blessing to you and if it is, feel free to like and share the podcast with others. Until next time, this is the Polymath Podcast with Ms Neisha. I'll see you on the other side.

Beautiful Redirections

In a world where no one wants to be rejected, only a few will understand that God can use those rejections as beautiful redirections to get us where we need to be. In the book of Genesis we see clearly how the hatred of Joseph's brothers towards him was the very channel God used to direct Joseph where he needed to be. Like Joseph, I too had my fair share of rejection in the workplace where two of the jobs I've worked in the past terminated me. However, in the midst of it all God used those experiences to equip me to build two businesses from. The toxic culture and abusive management were the perfect examples of what I did not want my businesses to be like. It was clear that those who terminated me didn't understand the treasure they had in their presence. And even though they didn't, it wasn't for me to convince them. I surrendered it into God's hand and He gave me a beautiful redirection from it. If you are going through workplace toxicity or any form of rejection, know that God can turn it into a beautiful redirection story that will change your life forever. Do Not Expect Them to Understand

In this week's episode we looked at the story of Joseph and how his gift landed him in a lot of trouble. Genesis 37:5 says " And Joseph dreamed a dream, and he told it his brethren: and they hated him yet the more." It is evident that Joseph was not liked by his brothers. In fact the hatred they had for Joseph fueled their actions to throw him in a pit, but that was the route the Lord intended for him. After many ordeals, Joseph still managed to forgive his brothers. This echoes the act of forgiveness throughout this week's podcast. Although forgiveness is not an easy feat, it is definitely required so that we do not delay our own progress. Forgiveness was never meant for the other party(ies). It is always for the one who is on the other side of the hurt, the ordeal, the offense. As you listen in this week, I pray you will be blessed. The Call To Be Great- Pt3

Answering the call of greatness will always cost you something. We will have to go against the status quo and employ discipline in the face of adversities. The person who is called to greatness has to be careful not to indulge in what everyone else is indulging in. The call of greatness require consecration and discipline. In this week's episode we looked at a few people who were called to greatness from the Bible; Daniel and Esther. Though Daniel was not raised in a palace, his gifts brought him favour and in the place of royalty but this did not change Daniel's character, discipline or reverence for God. He stood firm in what and WHO he believed in. This small act of obedience allowed for Daniel to be chosen above all the other boys who were indulging in that which could not sustain them. We also looked at Esther, a class act and heroine in the Bible. Even though Esther was beautiful and classy, it is safe to say that she was also a warrior in the Spirit. She didn't allow her beauty and charm to get in the way of her purpose and destiny. When she learned of the impending danger of her people, she fought back with strategic fasting and prayer, which propelled her to face the king without an appointment. The life of these people truly serve as encouragement for us today. We too can employ similar discipline and courage. I hope this week's episode is a blessing to you. And if it has been, please do not hesitate to share with a friend so they too can be blessed. Also, be sure to subscribe and like the podcast. The Call To Be GREAT!- Pt 2

We serve a God who does all things new. When He calls you, He will always give you a new identity. He is a God who upgrades us! Isaiah 43:18-19 admonishes us to unshackle ourselves from the the past and to look ahead for what God is about to unleash. In this week's episode we looked at people like Gideon, who asked the angel for a sign of confirmation that the Lord has indeed chosen him to deliver Israel in battle and Zechariah the Priest who, conversely, allowed doubt to get in the way of the Genesis of his promise. But the Lord is so gracious that He still fulfilled His promises to Zechariah. It is important that we do not disqualify ourselves from greatness because of its magnitude or even perceived inadequacies, but to lean into that which seem GRAND and impossible to achieve because it is God will bring it to pass. We emphasized that those called to be great will naturally carry a burden for something. And we closed on the question of ' What do you carry a burden for?' As you listen, I hope you are refueled and encouraged. Feel free to like, and follow the podcast. Be a blessing to someone this week by sharing the link and have them listen too.
