Out of the Depths: Suffering and Lament in the Psalms
Surpassing Worth di Scott and Jordan Beachy
Note sull'episodio
As Christians, we often try to control or fix our problems rather than yield them to God. We try to change our own hearts on our own strength rather than surrender them, sins and all, to the LORD. In this video, we talk about the role of lament in prayer. Scott talks about Paul Miller's "A Praying Life," which talks about lament as recognizing the separation between my reality and the promises of God. We can't just stuff that pain and sorrow. We have to bring it to God. And we have to expect the kindness and grace of the personal God, our loving Father.
