#11 - My God, My Gun, My BBQ

Everything in life is fleeting. The innocence of youth fades away, summer warmth abandons us, and your peers will have children and acquire debts. In turn, we sadly find ourselves in the penultimate episode of SKA SEASON. We have no recourse but discussing Mu330's final full-length "Ultra Panic", another Asian Man special. This solemn episode includes discussion of the nefarious Rivers Cuomo, crystals and energies, and literalness as a songwriting device. Also, apologies for the audio quality of my mic. I recorded through the wrong output.

#10 - Basement Dwelling Loser Freaks

Ska season nears its end as we cover These Hands of Mine, a full-length album by California anti-ska band Corrupt Vision. We talk about crack rock steady, punk microgenres, and sympathetic straight edge.

#9 - Raising Hell with Reckless Style

We discuss Question The Answers, the fourth album by prominent ska band The Mighty Mighty Bosstones. Among other subjects discussed is The Defiant, Dicky Barrett's conservative rock band. We also touch on other things but we recorded this a while ago so I honestly don't remember what it was. Possibly Boston hardcore? I like Cerce a lot, Kau is a Have Heart superfan. Goolagoon is from Boston. Not sure if these bands are mentioned but Gang Green comes up at some point.

#8 - I Am Goat Milk In Your Beer

After a long break, we resume ska festivities by commenting on Sing Along with Skankin' Pickle, a 1994 Dill Records release. Along the way, we discuss Volbeat's upcoming European tour, Joyce Manor's self-titled classic, and Bonzo Goes to Bitburg's lasting impact on music.

#7 - Mr. Geppetto

We have finally come to address the most respectable ska album, Streetlight Manifesto's 2003 debut Everything Goes Numb. After fumbling through a clueless conversation surrounding the tantalizing idea of New Jersey, we discuss this classic record, as well as taking detours to talk about Victory Records, obsessive fanbases, treadmill lore, and horn spamming.

#6 - Many People In the World Know You Are An Animal

The season of ska continues with a deep look at 1999 Mexican classic "A la izquierda de la tierra" by Panteón Rococó. We discuss the meshing of ska with other genres, the acceptability of ska merch, and bands possibly outnumbering the audience.

#5 - Spinning Around, Spinning Around

Skanking. Horn sections. Checkered Vans. It is the season of ska. We celebrate it by looking at Less Than Jake's 1995 debut Pezcore. Join us as we discuss this and related subjects such as ska fashion, respectable ska, and merch designs

Stagione 1

#4 - Fly In The Disappointment

In a specially self-indulgent episode to send off 2024, we talk about 2003 Jawbreaker tribute album "Bad Scene, Everyone's Fault" from Dying Wish Records, which features Fall Out Boy, Kill Your Idols, Bigwig, and others. We also fantasy book what a Jawbreaker tribute could look like in 2024. Before that, we address some major discourse for the year, touching on Charli XCX's Brat, Drake and Kendrick Lamar's beef, and Chappell Roan's similarities to CM Punk. We also give a shout out to some of the best opening bands we saw through the year. #3 - There's No Such Thing as Society

In the final episode of our abridged folk punk season we look at the 2018 concept album "IX" by Rent Strike. We touch on punk songwriting, Lord of the Rings, and give our thoughts on the folk punk genre as a whole. Shout out to the art of podcasting.

#2 - You Don't Choose Punk Rock Because Maybe Punk Rock Chooses You

We are continuing this folk punk retrospective with a look at "Burn the Earth! Leave It Behind" by Wingnut Dishwashers Union, the work of one of the most influential figures in the genre. While unpacking our feelings on this one, we talk about pop punk vocals and Kimya Dawson. Shout out to the sixers and the fivers
