Episode 1 - Jeff Jones - Arkansas State

Key Takeaways from this episode: Absolutely loved the passion and conviction that Coach Jones has for this profession and helping others, whether athletes or coaches. The term “teach tape technique”, in reference to being intentional and demanding when it comes to teaching technique and holding athletes accountable. Using a technique rating system is a great ideal and could determine when an athlete progress in complexity of movements. Coach Jones discusses the 4 things he looks for when hiring coaches. Discussion of the power complex and thoughts on Olympic lifts and Squats. Recommended books by Coach Jones: Arete, by Brian Johnson Raise Your Game, by Alan Stein Jr. Coach Jones Social: https://x.com/jonesyjeff1 https://www.instagram.com/coach_jeffjones?
