Note sull'episodio

Hello lovely people–

This episode may really rile you up, blow your mind, or a combination of both. Nevertheless, the story we tell ourselves is that you will enjoy our conversation where we discuss some interesting and timely questions, such as whether anything is black and white, are there truly experts, and is there ever a common ground?

In our discussion, we take a journey through how we find capital “T” Truth in life. We start by discussing Dr. Tom Nickles' book on the “Death of Experts” and his arguments on how the internet fuels the culture of “my ignorance is as good as your expertise.” We then talk about how the truth we (you) know is not universally accepted, and how this can stem from speakers who are just good at building audiences and persuasion, rather than having education or experiential credibility. Lastly, we talk about the importance of acknowledging our own gaps of knowledge, healthy debating, leading conversation with respect and empathy, and the importance of identifying common goals.

So sit back, make a cappuccino, and enjoy the show!

Peace and blessings,

-Abi and Yassine
