A Gift From a Precious Brother
In this short podcast, I lay out what made Donald Lumpkins such a precious brother to me. I used 2 Corinthinas 2:14-16 to explain the fragrance that clearly evident in his life, even as a young man. Finally, I would encourage you to listen to this Keith Green song as part of the message. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=h20qt6jstzc (I do routinely use AI to create graphics and machine learning to edit audio (remove silent pauses) but not to create content.)
Bring My Soul Out of Prison
This is my personal testimony of what the Lord has been doing in my heart over the last number of months. This is how the Lord is reshaping me, as I'm simply the clay and as we trust Him and give ourselves to Him, He reshapes us. It's not self-help, it's the power of Jesus. Since we know from the scriptures that Jesus is not a respector of persons, he will do a very similar work in your heart if you ask Him and seek Him with all of your heart. He has come to heal the broken-hearted and to bring deep healing in our hearts. Here's a wonderful song that lays out a similar message, I've tried to convey today from a fellow Welsh brother, Huw Priday. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TNF-dX-8kw4&list=RDTNF-dX-8kw4&start_radio=1
In the Day of Trouble I Seek the Lord (Psalm 77)
Join me for a reading of Psalm 77 from the English Standard Version. It's one of the lamenting Psalms and is sweet indeed, as we draw our hearts closer to the King!
You Are the Potter, I Am the Clay
Scriptures Used During Today's Broadcast: Isaiah 64:8, Jeremiah 18:1-10, Romans 9:19-20, Isaiah 45:9, Psalm 103:14, Psalm 139:13-15 Sometimes we need a reminder that we're simply the clay and we desperately need the Potter. May the Holy Spirit remind you of your great need as you listen. (The cover art was a feeble attempt to show a piece of clay that wanted to be the potter. It's not going to happen...)
A Wonderfully Honest Testimony
In this podcast, I'm reading Hannah Smith testimony she drafted in 1887, that was part of a book published in 1888 entitled "Forty Witnesses" by S. Olin Garrison. I've attached the entire book, now in the public domain on our website (revivalnow.church).
Hannah Smith's Model Prayer
I'm included a model prayer that Hannah included in her wonderful book The Christian's Secret of a Happy Life. If your desire to have a happy life in Christ, may this prayer call you to a full consecration to Jesus and an absolute trust in His faithfulness to bring you into a deeper union with Jesus.
An End to Doubting
Sources Used During Today's Podcast: The Christian's Secret of a Happy Life by Hannah W. Smith (Chapter 14 entitled Doubt) published in 1875 (therefore in the public domain) We haven't finished lament just yet but the Holy Spirit trumpeted these words deep in my soul and I believe this will help many. Listen as I attempt to read Chapter 14 of this wonderful book. It's a polemic against doubting God's promises. Isn't it time, we the church stop letting the doubts of the devil rule in our hearts? (That's a rhetorical question dear one...) Jesus has made provision to free us from every doubt of fear. That's not to say that we won't have trials and difficulties or sufferings, we certainly will have those. Enter into an agreement with Jesus that by His power, doubt will no longer grab you and by the blood of Jesus be free today... We've uploaded the entire on our website as a PDF document.
Hodgepodge of Christian goodies...
I'm including an integrated audio file contained several YouTube videos: Here's the listed audios included (in order): Who is Jesus to me (a short audio of me detailing my testimony about Jesus, Psalm 27 one of my favorite laments and a call to wait upon the Lord and Psalm 71, a wonderful Psalm for those of us in our advanced years...
Introduction to Lament
An introduction to the powerful practice of Lament.
When God Hides His Face
For me, there's nothing more troubling than when God hides His face. Listen as Brother Ed as he attempts to explain God's divine purpose in this process.
