A perspective of life from two brothers
Esplicito
Hello and welcome back! This week (I really should say month) the brothers of the Raconteur Collection expound about the state of life and share their own unique perspectives on the world. From capitalism to religion, from corporations and money, to the small things like appreciating your fellow humans. The boys dive deep into how they see the world and what they would like to see change. If you have any thoughts we would be overjoyed to hear them. Send us a message at Raconteurcollection@gmail.com and if you love what we do and would like to support check out patreon.com/raconteurcollection
Elden Ring Part 2
Sorry for the long wait, the episode was lost in the dungeon! Enjoy part 2 of our big Elden Ring series. We go further into the lore of some of the bosses and endgame tactics and so on. Enjoy our second part of Elden Ring and we may be back for a part three with the new DLC, The Shadow of the Erdtree.
Elden Ring Part 1
We finally get into some of the meat that is Elden Ring. With new DLC just announced what better time to get into the game (for Jack anyways) and really figure out what we each liked and disliked. This episode is focused on our playthroughs with a part 2 on lore and our thoughts coming soon! Music by Zach Short
Remasters (and Adaptations)
On our return episode of the Raconteur Collection, we are joined by Michael to talk about something that has grown to prominence, Remasters. Whether it's old games being upscaled, a fine new dash of pixels, or a full blown remake from the ground up we talk about them all and in Raconteur fashion, go off on a few tangents. I did correct it but I'm just embarrassed...
What's Going On? (Update)
TL:DR - We are on hiatus! Just a short update for our wonderful listeners! We are sorry it is not out sooner but with everything going on it's been super difficult to find the time, but we will do better now that I am gettting into a system! Thank you all for all of your support and love. Really does mean a lot to us both! We will be back soon!
Harry Potter and The Sorcerer's Stone (Movie)
Movie talk begins at 12:45. We take a look at another series that has always been near and dear to us. The Harry Potter books came out and took the world by storm. Being a huge part of the cultural zeitgeist it was only a matter of time till we talked about this series! Enjoy!
Animal Crossing Ft. Lily!
We all sit down to talk about not only a childhood favorite but also a current fad that recently gripped the casual gaming scene by storm. Animal crossing is a game that not only let;s you experience capitalism in a fun way but also let's you explore the unique charm and characters that inhabit the town. Games like this, Stardew Valley, Harvest Moon and more all envoke feelings of nostalgia and good times.
Chapters: A book report podcast - The Silver Chair -
Esplicito
Hello and welcome back to Chapters. This week we take one step closer to end of the Chronicles of Narnia. The Silver Chair is perhaps the black sheep of the stories. A story of messing up and not knowing the correct path. However, even when all seems grim and dark if you count on a trusty Marshwiggle you just might make it through. Is Charlie a Marshwiggle? Will Jack get free from the Silver Chair? Is Michael ever coming out of the basement? None of these questions will be answered. Chapters is hosted by Charlie Mohn and is his brother Jack. If you enjoy what you hear tell your friends and give us some love at patreon.com/raconteurcollection
Stardew Valley
Esplicito
Welcome back to the Raconteur Collection. This week we are again joined by long time backroom escapee Michael. Once again he has escaped the dark liminal spaces beneath my home and joins the table to talk about one of out all time favorite games. The boys discuss how and why Stardew Valley pulled them in, Jack explains why it took him so long to play and what pushed him away the first time, and at the end, we all agree that ancient fruit wine trumps all other sources of income. The Quartz Foundation is an old old group that dates back roughly to the 1100's Many suspect that the SCPs were based off this group to cover up tracks. To make people unable to believe in the amazing yet horrifying anamolies that occur on our world and beyond,
