What happens when something unexpected enters the picture of your life—something extra, unfamiliar, or simply beyond anything you have experienced before? 🌸
In this Thriving Through Thursday episode of LoTus M Mighty, I share one of the most personal parts of my story: receiving a prenatal Down syndrome diagnosis for our youngest son, the uncertainty I carried while trying to imagine a future I had never lived, and the beautiful transformation that happened when I finally held him in my arms and realized I didn’t need every answer—I simply got to know and love him.
Looking back, I can see that I was trying to imagine our future with colors I had yet to receive. Today, those colors include incredible love and laughter, friendships and community, advocacy and purpose, deeper compassion, belonging, and a beautifully unique little boy who has been an absolute blessing to our entire family.
This episode is an invitation to approach the unknown with curiosity, faith, gratitude, and beautiful expectation. Whatever your “something extra” may be, you only need today’s colors for today.
