Lily High on Life – Raizel Fogel

Raizel Fogel is genuinely self-actualized and fulfilled in the truest sense of the words. Warm, intelligent, and confident, she is the mother of 6 children with 46 grandchildren and already has great grandchildren. She lives within the ultra-orthodox Adass community and where others may judge her as insulated, she understands that true value and joy in life comes from relationships you foster and the environment you create. Life always has ups and downs but the sense of love and belonging she gets from her family and extended relationships, the businesses she runs, and the jobs she has experienced, make up a life still evolving with additional projects and a life lived to the full. Whatever you think you know about living an ultra orthodox life, this is an interview worth listening to.

Lily High On Life - Goldie Freedman

Goldie Freedman grew up in Melbourne Australia. She is a Barrister and an accomplished wife and mother. Her family, like mine, come from Zelechow in Poland, and we recently discovered we are in fact related. Goldie has a strong spirit and an ingrained commitment to Zionism and Israel. She is the perfect compliment to her husband and daughter. She is an active member of the Melbourne community and proud of a life that is only half way through.

Moshe Kahn Chabad Rabbi

Moshe Kahn, a Chabad Rabbi and Lily High On Life, are totally in sync. Born into a Chabad family of 8, he chose to continue the tradition and share how joyful life can be with many many others. He teaches, he lectures, but more importantly he lives as an example of what he believes, and his work is with youth and young adults, so how awesome is that ! A really important message in this delightful interview is the importance of community and connection in today's world. Most importantly that you, yes you, are enough and important just the way you are, so be your authentic self. Thank you also Moshe for the introduction to the wonderful musician Avrohom Fried. Lily High on Life – Julie Oshlack Harrari Meadows

Blessings come from the relationships and lives you have touched, and Julie has been truly blessed. She was born in Poland and is a relative and one of the first people I met when I came to Australia, aged 4. Her memories of growing up in Australia are so interesting, but her greatest gift is the hundreds of stories she facilitated and published into a series of books, a wonderful legacy for many future generations. This was a very real, personal and touching interview I really enjoyed.

Lily High on Life – Walter Bingham

Walter Bingham holds the Guiness Book of World Records Title for Oldest Print Journalist as well as Oldest Radio Broadcaster and he’s still going strong. He turns in a weekly one hour radio show each week, that he records and edits himself. He is also published in a number of international newspapers every week. He survived the Holocaust, was part of the Kindertransport to London and one of the very very few children to be reunited with his mother. He became a war hero honoured by both the English and the French governments. He was an ambulance driver on the battlefields and an intelligence agent in the London offices. He flew planes, jumped out of them and there is still so much more. He really has lead a full life and it is far from over.

Melbourne Artist Eva Csanyi-Hurskin has lived and worked outside of Australia for most of her life. Discovering her talent at a young age, her work has been recognised in America and the U.K., and well received around the world. It is her adventurous spirit that lead her to travel the world, even as a single mother with two small boys before settling in the U.S. She is currently in Melbourne, dealing with an elderly parent, as so many of us are, and generously shares her passions, travel and family in this interview. Philip Archer is a great example of Living High on Life. He always manages to create and keep a positive perspective on life, both personal and professional. One of seven children, he experienced an ever changing reality, adapting to 27 different schools all over India before coming to Australia when he was only 14 years old. Philip has always been responsible, and a natural entrepreneur. His natural intelligence has allowed him to see opportunities and his positive attitude has driven him to take advantage of them and succeed. His attitude translated to always finding a solution rather than getting bogged down in a problem. The Rotary Club is a great passion and important aspect to his life.
