December 8, 2019 - MAKE WAY FOR THE KING!

Advent: His Kingdom is Forever, Matthew 24.14 Jobey McGinty Advent means "appearance" or "arrival." Most often we associate this with the arrival of the Messiah, the Savior, or even the King. However, it also means the arrival of a Kingdom. But what is the Kingdom of God? Is it here, or is it still to come? When we pray, "Your Kingdom come, Your will be done," what is it that we are praying for, and how do we know when it is upon us?  Join us for these four weeks of Advent as we explore what it means for the Kingdom of God to be here, and how we partake in seeing it grow.

*BONUS SERMON* March 26, 2017 - LET THE REDEEMED OF THE LORD SAY SO

Bonus
Praying the Psalms (Psalm 107) Jobey McGinty The disciples asked Jesus to teach them how to pray. Prayer is not natural for us. At least not real, biblical prayer. Complaints and wish lists and pouring our hearts out is natural, but is that all prayer is?  God gave us not only instruction on how to pray, but even gave us an entire book of prayer in the Psalms. In this sermon, the psalmist commends the redeemed of the Lord to "say so," to speak aloud of His steadfast love. We spend the final 15 minutes of the service letting the redeemed of the Lord "say so" with impromptu sharing of testimonies of God's steadfast love in their life.

December 1, 2019 - WHAT IS THE KINGDOM?

Advent: His Kingdom is Forever, Luke 1.26-33 Jobey McGinty Advent means "appearance" or "arrival." Most often we associate this with the arrival of the Messiah, the Savior, or even the King.

November 24, 2019 - THE LOST SHEEP

Luke 15.1-7 Elder Candidate Casey Barnes Casey Barnes was recently introduced on October 6, 2019 as an Elder Candidate at our church. Part of the prerequisites for an Elder-Pastor in a church, according to God's Word, is that they are "able to teach." In this first sermon, Casey goes into Luke 15, when we see a picture of Christ spending time with the worst of society, while the self-righteous religious leaders thumb their noses and sense no need for a Savior of their own. But Jesus is a Savior who will receive the most destitute of sinners, and will even receive the self-righteous who recognize that they are more sinful than they realized and need of forgiveness. Jesus is willing and desires to seek and save the lost!

*BONUS SERMON* March 19, 2017 - GOD HAS PROMISED HIMSELF: BEING ASSURED WHILE WE WAIT

Bonus
Praying the Psalms (Psalm 111) Jobey McGinty The disciples asked Jesus to teach them how to pray. Prayer is not natural for us. At least not real, biblical prayer. Complaints and wish lists and pouring our hearts out is natural, but is that all prayer is?

November 17, 2019 - THE SECURITY OF OUR HOPE

Your Kingdom Come - Habakkuk 3.16-19 Jobey McGinty The strength of our faith will rise and fall. There will be times when our faith almost seems nonexistent, and the enemy has a heyday with our doubt, shame, and condemnation. But regardless of how our faith stands, the person who has been born again by the Spirit of God will always and forever have perfect, steadfast, and unbreakable hope. Our confidence ought not to rest in the strength of our faith, but in the strength of the blood of Jesus Christ and His faithfulness.

November 10, 2019 - ENDURING THE RACE

Hebrews 12.1, 2 Elder Candidate Tyler Willis Tyler Willis was recently introduced on October 6, 2019 as an Elder Candidate at our church. Part of the prerequisites for an Elder-Pastor in a church, according to God's Word, is that they are "able to teach." In this first sermon of Tyler's, he walks through Hebrews 12.1, 2, highlighting from this Scripture as well as his own personal journey the importance of casting aside extra weight if we are to run this race well and cross the finish line.

*BONUS SERMON* March 12, 2017 - FINDING STRENGTH WHEN OUR 'ENEMIES' ARE AFTER US

Bonus
Praying the Psalms (Psalm 27) Jobey McGinty The disciples asked Jesus to teach them how to pray. Prayer is not natural for us. At least not real, biblical prayer. Complaints and wish lists and pouring our hearts out is natural, but is that all prayer is?

November 3, 2019 - LOOKING BACK, LOOKING FORWARD

Your Kingdom Come - Habakkuk 3.3-15 Jobey McGinty Memories, souvenirs, keepsakes, and memorials all serve the purpose of helping us remember. Ideally, their purpose isn't to have us live in the past, but to look forward to the future with a right perspective. Reminders of God's grace, longsuffering, and wisdom from past experiences help us to have faith for the days to come. As we look forward to the future, we ought to first look into the past to sharpen our view and perspective for difficult days to come.
