Growing up in Oaktown (Oakland, CA), he witnessed he father forcibly taken by the police. This spawned the destructive path that he and his brothers embarked on. A 15 month stint in juvie hall, became the switch that finally turned on, but the switch came with a very arduous path to better himself. His goal was to go to the NFL. His time in the AFL and CFL was about to get him one more step to his ultimate goal, until sitting in his room dejected, made him realize the moment he had to finally pivot. The sparring session with the incredible Dr. Shamawn Wright destroys a few stigmas.
