Note sull'episodio

Monster Rally is the creative ecosystem of Cleveland-based artist, designer, and producer Ted Feighan. Feighan scours thrift shops, estate sales, and used vinyl bins, for long-forgotten exotica, tropicalia, and obscure 60s South Asian pop records, re-contextualizing them into richly sampled instrumental hip hop albums, all of which are adorned with handmade collages of verdant jungle flora and fauna. Feighan creates a total sensory experience transporting the listener to a lush, tropical fantasy world filled with adventure, mystery, and playful jungle creatures.

In this episode, Feighan and I discuss his latest release, Castaways, Vol 1, his creative life, and how by discovering the long-lost world of exotica, he found artistic freedom.
