Building a Garage Golf Simulator & Surviving the Shanks | Fairway Fit Golf Podcast
On this episode of the Fairway Fit Golf Podcast, Brad and Greg catch up after a week off and talk about balancing work and parenting with golf while planning at-home practice setups. They compare their garage practice builds, including Brad’s plan for a full simulator with a SkyTrak Plus, projector, side TV, and a fold-away PRx home gym system, plus recovery with a cold plunge, and Greg’s simpler garage net/launch monitor setup to keep golf going through winter without spending $50–$100 per visit. They recap a memorial scramble tournament played with Bryan and Stevie P/CBP, where the team shot 59 despite leaving birdies out, and discuss how tough range sessions—including Brad’s severe shanks—affected confidence before eventually settling into the round. They also share upcoming practice plans, a quick nine-hole score, and shout-outs including kids’ personal-best tournament rounds.
