Stagione 4

Opened and Closed Doors

As we wrap up season 4, we review how God opens and closes doors in our lives, and how we can respond. Everyone goes thru trials and seasons of celebration. As God opens and closes doors, the only thing you can control is how you respond. Have a listen to times where we reacted well, and times where we did not.

The Friendship Breakup

Why is this topic so difficult to talk about? Nobody likes a breakup. How do we handle this as Christians? People choose sides. Fingers are pointed. It's never an easy thing, especially when the friendship was close. Linda and Jenna are back in the studio with Mike and Deb to talk thru this difficult topic, the friendship breakup.

Savanah & Muriel's Prodigal Story

We bring in special guests Savanna and Murielle to share their story of a mother and daughter's detour we all can relate to. Savanna was a teenager who began working in the restaurant industry filled with late nights and trips to the bar after work with co-workers. Over time, her relationship with Jesus faded, and alcohol tightened its grip on her life. Hear her story, and get her mother Murielle's perspective as they navigated addiction and how God was with them every step of the way.

Mission Trip to Poland to Help Ukraine

Deb and Mike have never experienced so many opened and closed doors as when they were sent to Poland to help Ukrainian refugees when the war broke out. In this episode, they recall a mission trip that changed perspectives, created tears, and was filled with detour after detour. Listen to the retelling of a story that this world needs to hear.

The Anger Toolbox

In today's episode, we revisit Deb's toolbox that she derived to help her with anger. Anger is something that will constantly resurface in our lives and if you sharpen your toolbox, you can be much more proactive when it starts to rear it's ugly head. How do you know when you're getting angry? Once you are, what can you do to healthily diffuse the situation? What's the difference between anger and wrath?

Closed Doors Can Cause Anxiety

Anxiety, who hasn't felt that? It can hit on a daily, hourly, or seasonal basis. How do you control it? Can it even be controlled? The prescription for anxiety is found in Colossians 3:15. The answer is having the peace of Christ rule in your life. So how do you let it? It's a choice. It's an easy choice to make, but difficult to execute so be ready to arrest and replace! Resurfacing Anger

In this episode we talk about how the sin we are prone to in life often resurfaces when we are put under pressure. Many times when we are working through sin with God, we often believe we are finished with it and want to put it in the rear view mirror. However... if you've been a Christian for any period of time, you know that isn't the case! Let's talk about how to dust off old tools God has given us and the constant battle we have with sin.
