Note sull'episodio
What happens when AI gets too good at doing exactly what we tell it to do?
DVJ and Michelle dive into the growing conversation around AI safety, including some wild “AI doomsday” scenarios involving machines following instructions literally—with consequences humans never intended. They also talk about why people should question AI-generated information, double-check what they're told, and remember that humans are still responsible for how these systems are built and used.
Then the conversation gets political.
They watch and discuss a recent Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez appearance at a “Students vs. Billionaires” town hall, including her comments about universities, student organizing, weapons manufacturers, corporate media, and unchecked power.
And then comes the Snoop Dogg conversation.
DVJ and Michelle revisit Snoop's past comments about artists supporting Donald Trump, his later participation in Trump-related events, and whether celebrities should be held accountable for positions they publicly took in the past. The bigger question becomes: Do people have standards, or do we forgive celebrities because they're celebrities?
The episode also gets into truth-in-sentencing, Wisconsin prisons, ICE and immigration, the death penalty, AI surveillance technology, Milwaukee, Wisconsin's economy, SpaceX, sports, music, coffee, and plenty of the completely random conversations that make Cold World what it is.
Some serious topics. Some uncomfortable questions. A lot of opinions.
No script. No filter. Just DVJ & Michelle talking about what's happening in the world—and questioning what we're being told.
