The End of the American Superpower status

Author’s Note: The Priest has adult language so be warned Fáilte Welcome to The Village Oak Tree I’m your host, Terrance Ó Domhnaill. Thank you for joining me again this week. Today, I want to talk about how the United States is quickly becoming a failed empire this week, using some news stories I found from around the world. It seems that the other nations of the world have had enough of Trump and his United States and are taking their business elsewhere. So, gather round, sit you down somewhere comfortable for a bit as I offer up some more thoughts on current economic world affairs once again. Visit www.crann-na-beatha.com for more about me

Health Care Systems Around the World

Explícito
Warning: this week’s chapter of The Priest has very adult language in it. Fáilte Welcome to The Village Oak Tree I’m your host, Terrance Ó Domhnaill. Thank you for joining me again this week. In keeping with my overall theme of economic factors that affect all of us in one fashion or another, as I told everyone last week, we’re going to talk about health care systems around the world today. Especially the systems in the U.S. As a U.S. military veteran, I’m also going to talk about the U.S. Veterans Administration’s free health care for veterans as well. It’s free but at a cost for the veterans, and I don’t mean out of pocket monetary expenses. So, gather round, sit you down somewhere comfortable for a bit and let me tell you about some of my experiences with the VA through the years and I will try and offer some comparison between some of more common health care systems available to people around the world.

A Glimpse of the planet Earth's possible Dystopian Future in a 3C world

Explícito
Fáilte Welcome to The Village Oak Tree I’m your host, Terrance Ó Domhnaill. Thank you for joining me again this week. I want to conclude my current climate change series with a look at what a dystopian future landscape might look like within the next twenty five years or so. I will offer some publicly sourced pictures from the internet and some of my own taken during my travels around the world to show everyone tuning in what to expect once the climate hits 3C mean average global temps. So, gather round, sit you down somewhere comfortable for a bit while I talk about a very real possible future landscape right out of one of those dystopian future movies some of us have seen in years past. In the YouTube video and written article on Substack and Medium.com, I show some personal photos from my travels in the deserts around the Persian Gulf and a short video clip from an old Mad Maxx movie from the early 1070's. Unfortunately, I can't show them here. What I can offer are links to them for anyone interested in seeing them.

Glaciers Disappearing, Flooding, Droughts and Wildfires everywhere. Is this the New Future?

Explícito
Fáilte Welcome to The Village Oak Tree I’m your host, Terrance Ó Domhnaill. Thank you for joining me again this week. I’m staying with the climate change topic some more as I think it’s becoming very important, even though everyone in the world is busy watching the wars in the middle east. As I said last week, some of that dust and debris from all of those bombs ends up in the upper atmosphere where the winds scatter across continents. But that’s small potatoes compared to all of the emissions from burning fossil fuels over the last couple of centuries. All of which is causing more cataclysmic climate issues than concrete bomb dust will ever do. So, gather round, sit you down somewhere comfortable for a bit while I talk about rising water levels, wildfires, droughts and so much more. Visit www.crann-na-beatha.com for more.

Climate Change and How War is making Things Worse

Fáilte Welcome to The Village Oak Tree I’m your host, Terrance Ó Domhnaill. Thank you for joining me again this week. I’m going to revisit climate change again this week. We talked about it a couple of weeks ago but that was before Trump and Netanyahu decided to start bombing Iran and creating a global oil and soon, a global food crisis. The world won’t really see the effects of this until harvest season later this year but it will ripple forward through next winter and into 2027. So, gather round, sit you down somewhere comfortable for a bit as I lay out what’s coming, as far as the warming climate is concerned, for this year and beyond. Religion and War, Why that's a Bad Mix

Explícito
Fáilte Welcome to The Village Oak Tree I’m your host, Terrance Ó Domhnaill. Thank you for joining me again this week. I want to talk about this latest thing in some of the news media from last week about mixing Christian nationalism with warfighting in this war/not war with Iran. There has been a lot of pushback from all sides, even from the middle east, as Trump unilaterally declared war on Iran, at the behest of the Israelis a week and a half ago. So, gather round, sit you down somewhere comfortable for a bit as I tell you a couple of my own personal military stories regarding religion in the ranks and some other related news. The Almost Forgotten War in Palestine

Fáilte Welcome to The Village Oak Tree I’m your host, Terrance Ó Domhnaill. Thank you for joining me again this week. As tempting as it may be, I’m not going to talk very much about the new war between the U.S., Israel and Iran this week, except as it affects the Palestinians in Gaza and the West Bank. It’s time I pivot back to Palestine this week, so I want to offer up some new stories from several media sources. The trouble is, there are always so many new stories in the media, and op-ed articles posted in Substack and Medium.com about the genocide in Palestine, it’s hard to choose the right ones talk about. So, gather round, sit you down somewhere comfortable for a bit as I sort through the lot and try to highlight the stories I eventually chose to present to you. A Change of Subject Matter from Politics to Things that Matter More

Fáilte Welcome to The Village Oak Tree I’m your host, Terrance Ó Domhnaill. Thank you for joining me again this week. It came to my attention last week, that ranting about all of the government corruption taking place every week in the United States is probably going on deaf ears these days. So, I’ve decided to chase after things that are more important to regular people like you and me. Such as climate change that’s wreaking hell on people around the world. Especially this winter. So, gather round, sit you down somewhere comfortable for a bit and let’s talk about the extreme weather happening everywhere around the planet for a bit and a couple of other things I discovered in the overseas media. Come visit me at www.crann-na-beatha.com for more about me and other things.

Fáilte Welcome to The Village Oak Tree I’m your host, Terrance Ó Domhnaill. Thank you for joining me again this week. Here we go again. More chaos across the world caused by Trump’s United States. This week, I found some more news stories about nearly everything you can imagine and maybe some you haven’t imagined. So, gather round, sit you down somewhere comfortable for a bit while I make an effort to unpack all of this to show how this will affect those of us struggling to get by every week. The Chaos in the World this week, Centering on the U.S., as Usual

Fáilte Welcome to The Village Oak Tree I’m your host, Terrance Ó Domhnaill. Thank you for joining me again this week. This week, I have a wide range of news stories from Gaza, Cuba, Africa, Australia, Canada and the U.S. The central point being the U.S. All of these stories have one common thread, the United States. Which, as usual, is causing chaos all over the planet, by way of its senile president. So, gather round, sit you down somewhere comfortable for a bit while I make an attempt to put this all in perspective for everyone. For more https://crann-na-beatha.com
