EPISODE 39: TRUE MEMOIRS OF AN INTERNATIONAL ASSASSIN
What happens when you write a completely fictional book about an elite international assassin… and the entire world decides, “Yep. This guy definitely kills people for a living”?
Meet Sam Larson: struggling novelist, professional nobody, and—according to everyone who reads his book—one of the most feared assassins on the planet. Unfortunately for Sam, his greatest weapon isn’t a gun, a knife, or a cunning escape plan. It’s creative writing.
After his “fictional” book is published as a true story, Sam is kidnapped, dragged into an actual international conspiracy, and suddenly expected to live up to a résumé he completely made up. Turns out writing about international espionage is a lot easier when nobody is actually shooting at you.
In Episode 39 of I Can Fix Your Movie, we take aim at True Memoirs of an International Assassin and ask the important questions: Why does everyone think this guy is Jason Bourne? How long can you survive when your entire skill set comes from your imagination? Grab your fake passport, imaginary credentials, and absolutely zero combat experience.
We’re fixing this movie.
