Temporada 1
The Book of Job
The Book of Job: Faith in the Midst of Suffering In this episode of Convert ME, we explore the powerful and often difficult Book of Job. Why does God allow suffering? What can we learn when life doesn’t make sense? And how do we hold on to faith when we don’t understand what God is doing? Join us as we look at Job’s story, his struggles, his friends’ advice, and God’s ultimate response.
The Book of Esther
The book of Esther tells the story of a young Jewish woman who is placed in a position to save her people from destruction. In this episode, we explore Esther’s courage, Mordecai’s faithfulness, Haman’s plot, and the powerful way God works behind the scenes—even when His name is never directly mentioned in the book. Esther reminds us that God can place us exactly where we need to be for a purpose.
Ezra and Nehemiah
In this episode, we explore the powerful lessons found in the books of Ezra and Nehemiah. After years of exile, God’s people returned to Jerusalem to rebuild the temple, restore their worship, and rebuild the walls of the city. Through opposition, discouragement, and challenges, they learned the importance of trusting God’s promises, staying focused on His mission, and relying on prayer and His Word. Ezra and Nehemiah remind us that true restoration begins when we return to God. Whether rebuilding our faith, our families, or our lives, God can use ordinary people who are willing to follow Him with courage and commitment.
2 Chronicles 14-20
Imagine two kings standing at crossroads. Asa began by trusting God against an army of a million, but later trusted political alliances more than the Lord. Uzziah started as a humble teenager seeking God, yet success filled him with pride. In contrast, Jehoshaphat, when surrounded by enemies, admitted, "We do not know what to do, but our eyes are on You," and Hezekiah called a broken nation back to joyful worship. These stories remind us that faith is not measured by how we start, but by whether we continue to rely on God. The Lord delights in humble hearts that seek Him, worship Him, and trust Him—even when the odds seem impossible.
2 Kings 16-25
Have you ever wondered why God allowed Israel and Judah—the very people He chose—to lose everything? Today we'll watch kings rise and fall, nations collapse, and Jerusalem itself be destroyed. But underneath all the tragedy is an incredible message: God keeps His promises even when people break theirs. This story isn't just about ancient history—it's about every heart that chooses between trusting God or trusting something else.
2 Kings 2-7
Have you ever felt like your situation was impossible? Like every door was closed and there was no way forward? In 2 Kings 7, we'll discover how God turned a hopeless famine into overwhelming abundance overnight, using four unlikely outcasts to deliver life-changing good news. Join us as we explore what this powerful chapter teaches about faith, God's perfect timing, and why the greatest news we've ever received is meant to be shared. Welcome to Convert ME.
1 Kings 12-13; 17-22
This week on Convert ME is a reminder that following God isn't always easy—but He is always faithful. We'll talk about Elijah's incredible faith, his very real moments of fear and discouragement, and how God met him with grace instead of condemnation. We'll also look at what happens when people choose their own way over God's, and how those same choices can still challenge us today. Most importantly, we'll see how these powerful stories point us to Jesus Christ, who faithfully provides, restores, and calls us to trust Him no matter what we're facing.
Samuel 2 11-12; 1 Kings 3; 6-9; 11
This week, we explore the rise and fall of Israel's greatest kings. In 2 Samuel 11–12, David falls into sin with Bathsheba but finds forgiveness through genuine repentance. In 1 Kings 3, Solomon asks God for wisdom and is richly blessed. In 1 Kings 6–9, Solomon builds the Temple, fulfilling God's promise to David and pointing forward to Jesus Christ. Finally, in 1 Kings 11, despite his wisdom, Solomon turns away from God, showing that a faithful heart matters more than knowledge alone. Join us as we discuss repentance, wisdom, obedience, and how both David and Solomon reveal our need for the perfect King—Jesus Christ. Scriptures: 2 Samuel 11–12; 1 Kings 3; 6–9; 11.
1 Samuel 17-18; 24-26; 2 Samuel 5-7
Welcome to Convert ME, the Bible study podcast where we explore God's Word through the eyes of a growing disciple. I'm Scott Espinda, and whether you're a brand-new follower of Jesus Christ or someone who has been walking with Him for years, I'm glad you're here. This week, we're diving into 1 Samuel chapters 17-18 and 24-26, along with 2 Samuel chapters 5-7. We'll follow the incredible journey of David as he goes from a young shepherd facing the giant Goliath to becoming the king God had chosen for Israel. We'll see David's courage in the face of impossible odds, his growing friendship with Jonathan, and his remarkable restraint when he has multiple opportunities to take revenge against Saul. Instead of taking matters into his own hands, David chooses to trust God's timing. Then in 2 Samuel, we'll watch David unite the kingdom, bring the Ark of the Covenant to Jerusalem, and receive one of the most important promises in all of Scripture—the covenant that points forward to the coming Messiah, Jesus Christ. What can we learn from David's victories, failures, patience, and faith? How do we trust God when His promises seem delayed? And what does David's story teach us about the greater King who was yet to come? Grab your Bible, settle in, and let's open God's Word together as we continue our journey through the life of David on Convert ME.
