In this episode of Scripture Road: Life’s Journey, we slow down and focus on one of the most powerful moments in the book of Isaiah: Isaiah’s vision of the Lord in chapter 6.

Isaiah sees the Lord “high and lifted up,” surrounded by seraphim crying, “Holy, holy, holy.” Faced with the holiness of God, Isaiah immediately becomes aware of his own sin and cries out, “Woe is me!” But the story does not end with guilt. A live coal from the altar touches his lips, symbolizing cleansing and forgiveness.

Then comes the call: “Whom shall I send, and who will go for us?” Isaiah answers with the words that have inspired believers for generations: “Here am I; send me.”

In this episode, we explore the meaning behind Isaiah’s vision, the seraphim, the coal from the altar, Isaiah’s calling, and the difficult mission God gives him. We also compare passages from the King James Version and World English Bible and discuss what this chapter teaches us about holiness, repentance, forgiveness, and answering God’s call.
