Gratitude Against the Odds | Trinity Sermons

Gratitude isn’t something we wait to feel after we win the race — it’s something we practice while we’re still running the race. In a world that says, “You deserve more,” the Gospel invites us to live countercurrent — to give thanks not because life is perfect, but because Jesus has already crossed the finish line for us.

Belonging & Believing in The Anglican Church | Trinity Talks Podcast

How do you become Anglican? Confirmation, reception and reaffirmation are formal processes, but they have a deep spiritual meaning. In this podcast Rob clarifies what happens in the Anglican church during these processes and Jen shares her journey of faith including how her daughter has brought her back to church. We talk about how God uses children to lead us, the importance of feeling in faith, and why we chose to participate in an Anglican church. If you’re interested in confirmation, reception or reaffirmation, or want to learn more, listen in and reach out. We’d love to journey with you.

Dear Sardis | Dear Church | Trinity Sermons

As John Cleese said: "This parrot’s not resting — it’s dead!" In Revelation 3, Jesus gives a blunt diagnosis to the church in Sardis: “You have a reputation of being alive, but you are dead.” Ouch. Join us this week as we check the PULSE of a living church — and discover how to move from just having “beautiful plumage” to being fully alive in Christ.

Ray Aldred: We Need New Stories For Healing | Trinity Talks Podcast

In honour of the National Day for Truth and Reconciliation, Ray Aldred joins us for a conversation about Indigenous people in Canada, the history of reconciliation, and how we find a path forward together. Ray shares his own journey and the ways that it has intersected with the national work of truth-telling and reconciliation in Canada. We talk about the importance of Indigenous self-determination, what it means to be treaty people, and how Indigenous theological practices are building up communities. Ray also shares some resources for learning more and beginning your own healing journey.

Dear Thyatira | Dear Church | Trinity Sermons

What if the call is coming from inside the house? This week, we will look at the church in Thyatira that was facing pressures — not from outside but from within — to compromise.

MLK: Jail, Justice and Jesus | Trinity Talks Podcast

Conflict, protest and unjust laws. Martin Luther King Jr. wrote “A Letter From a Birmingham Jail” in 1963, but it’s just as relevant today. This letter tackles everything from choosing sides, to dealing with tension, to the role of Christians in the face of injustice. In this podcast we talk about what King was saying in his time and the ways that he’s speaking to us today. What should we do when the law is in conflict with God’s law? How can we use tension as a force for positive change? Where do we find hope in the midst of oppression and injustice? And what does it mean for the church to be relevant today? These are just some of the questions that we consider together as we search for hope, healing and community in the midst of really turbulent times.

Dear Pergamum | Dear Church | Trinity Sermons

If you can’t beat ’em, join ’em. This week, we’re looking at a church that Satan couldn’t crush with a sword — so he corrupted it with a smile. We’ll expose the Trojan Horse of cultural compromise and learn how to stay faithful to Christ when the world pressures us to blend in.

Listen in as Libby shares her vision for the Discipleship Year Program including the ways that students will practice their faith, learn new skills through hands-on ministry placements, and find supportive community through mentorship and peer support. This is a space for us to slow down, listen to God’s voice and set up habits that will carry us through the rest of our lives.

Dear Smyrna | Dear Church | Trinity Sermons

What do you say to someone who is suffering? Our words often fall short — but Jesus’ words never do. In Revelation 2:8–11, Christ speaks directly to a church under crushing pressure, deep poverty, and harsh persecution. To the believers in Smyrna, He says, “I know… Do not be afraid… Be faithful, and I will give you the crown of life.”
