Conflict, protest and unjust laws. Martin Luther King Jr. wrote “A Letter From a Birmingham Jail” in 1963, but it’s just as relevant today. This letter tackles everything from choosing sides, to dealing with tension, to the role of Christians in the face of injustice. In this podcast we talk about what King was saying in his time and the ways that he’s speaking to us today. What should we do when the law is in conflict with God’s law? How can we use tension as a force for positive change? Where do we find hope in the midst of oppression and injustice? And what does it mean for the church to be relevant today? These are just some of the questions that we consider together as we search for hope, healing and community in the midst of really turbulent times.
