Last night's SmackDown gave us plenty to talk about, but one moment stood out for all the wrong reasons: Chad Gable's return. After months of momentum from the Grande Americano storyline, WWE had the perfect opportunity to bring Gable back in a big way. Instead, he quietly appeared in a backstage segment and apologized. No entrance. No crowd reaction. No payoff. For a character who became one of the most entertaining acts on WWE television, this felt like a massive missed opportunity.
