Hebrews 13.5-6. Never Will He Leave You

Episode notes

In the letter of Hebrews, we are constantly exhorted to persevere, and we are constantly encouraged that God will preserve his own. As it turns out, God’s preservation of his own is what motivates contentment with wherever he has placed us. Just like the Hebrew Christians this letter was originally written to, we often find ourselves in painful circumstances that we don’t like, and we are tempted toward discontentment. What motivation enables a person to be content with their current circumstances? The believer enjoys absolute security in Christ and therefore has no need for fear or discontentment. May God encourage us with his sovereign keeping hand and motivate us to continue running the Christian race.
