On this coming Sunday, Palm Sunday, our choir will be presenting O What A Savior, by Russell Mauldin. One of the numbers they will sing repeats this phrase, “Oh, praise the One who paid my debt!” We will also take time to meditate on one verse, Mark 15:34, “And at the ninth hour Jesus cried with a loud voice, “Eloi, Eloi, lema sabachthani?” Which means, “My God, my God, why have you forsaken me?” Why? Why was Jesus forsaken? As we examine that question we will be moved and motivated to praise the One who paid our debt!
