For centuries, cities grew around rivers because rivers gave them life, identity, trade, culture and community.

But today, many Indian cities have turned their backs on their rivers.

What if that changed?

Ahmedabad’s Sabarmati Riverfront showed what riverfront development can do when a city chooses to restore pride instead of ignoring its river.
