The B.C. government continues to keep the public in the dark as to the number of homes destroyed by wildfires. BC Wildfire officials and members of the Eby Cabinet continue to reject calls for damage reports despite massive evacuations in Summerland, Peachland and other areas of the province. Emergencies Minister Kelly Greene says it’s important to contact people responsibly. That decision runs counter to what most western democracies do during a state of emergency.
