Illusions of Choice

Left-Right. It doesn't matter. For decades, politicians have made grand promises and not delivered. When there is a backlash, the party leaders clamp down and stop the extremists or pragmatists from changing their base or corrupting their supporters, because if you lose support, you lose power.. you lose control.

I can't believe it's not news

Fake News! This widely used political term today was used once before, but has become a growing theme in the political narrative that the parties like to use to describe either untruthful reports, or just as a dumbed down phrase to deflect from reality.

Let's make a deal

Will there ever be a deal made with Iran? If so, how much will Israel affect it's outcome? One thing for certain, the current plans being thrown around are not good and many people even on the right are calling it a bad deal. I'll share some of my thoughts that expand beyond Iran into China as well as what this latest war has done to shake up the world powers.

Dreamers, Deportations and the Dance for votes

Nearly every single topic in America at one time felt singular, yet today each and every one is tied to the other through politics. More importantly, to how you view politics. While we do have our similarities, it's the differences that politicians push because it keeps their supporters in line and allows for the politicians to maintain their power and control over us. Immigration, like all topics has us deeply divided, but what if we focused more on blending those divisions with our similarities?

I've got a secret

Secrets are something we all have. At some point in time, those secrets are revealed while others may vanish into oblivion. But in order to keep a secret, one mustn't reveal the secret because the more people who know, the chances of that secret spreading and one day revealing itself to the masses can be damaging. America itself is built on secrets, but it's the conspiracy theories that people create when they can't provide proof or evidence that are really only being used by those in power to keep that power and to manipulate us all politically.

The Chaos Escalation

America is on a downward path and those in power are embracing it, even turning a blind eye to it. Many of them know what's at stake, but few say anything because of fear of retaliation. Billionaires are building compounds or fleeing the US for one reason or another leaving us to survive/fix the chaos they've created for us.

It's a war. It's a conflict. It's an exercise. We're in a cease fire. We're still shooting. A deal is in place. No deal is in place. Welcome to the Iran/USA conundrum. A little bit of history will tell us that what some may have hoped would be a quick and easy in and out, might in fact become a messy mistake.
