Elizabeth Short, a 22-year-old woman, was found cut in half; gruesomely murdered, and dismembered. She was discovered on January 15th, 1947 in an abandoned lot in LA. Elizabeth Short was nicknamed the black dahlia after a popular movie of the time yet her famous and mysterious death gave her more fame than the movie she was named after. For 75 years her death has not been solved but Steve Hodel, Former LAPD believes his sick and twisted dad George Hodel butchered Elizabeth.
