In our Inaugural Episode co-hosts Kevin Calahan and Patrick McBriarty have a discussion with Alex Severino, our East Coast Regional Facilitator and previous Middle School Program Manager at the highly regarded Rocking The Boat (Bronx, NY) to learn some of the special sauce behind successful youth development work and how she moved from a participant to staff and now to being part of TWSBA. Co-hosts Kevin and Patrick chime in to share additional tips and experience working with youth, adults, staff and volunteers from their respective roles as Executive Director of Urban BoatWorks (Camden, NJ) and Special Projects at All Hands Boatworks (Milwaukee, WI). Learn what TWSBA is and the amazing work these and other programs sprinkled around the country are doing to help and teach both youth and adults through the building and use of small boats, and more.
