A really large number of people have decided they don’t want a democracy anymore and that is why they are voluntarily choosing to withdraw and let the far-right bring back their latest brand of authoritarianism. This is the level of apathy our society has descended to.

When people shout for the application of real democratic values the right-wing propagandists brand them left-wing extremists and the moderate liberals have started to believe it. When did we become so fragile and defensive?
