Thirtyfold, sixtyfold, or a hundredfold, “fold” is describing a multiplied outcome or increase that comes from a single seed fulfilling its purpose. It pictures a harvest where what was sown reaches a rich, abundant result, not just a small or linear gain. So in reference to “hitting the mark,” “fold” means the degree of fruitfulness or abundance that shows up when something lands where it was intended and fully does what it was designed to do.
