Camp Traditions
This podcast, “Thunderbird Talk,” explores the traditions at YMCA Camp Thunderbird and how they help create a strong sense of community among campers and staff. It covers camper recognition ceremonies and the Thunderbird bandana program, along with perspectives from individuals who have experienced these traditions firsthand. This project was created using GarageBand for recording and editing, which allowed for easy layering of voice recordings, music, and transitions. This podcast includes an audio clip of music used during the camp’s bandana ceremony. This audio is owned by YMCA Camp Thunderbird and is used with permission for educational purposes. Interviews with Abi Larranaga and Joshua Moore were used as outside sources to provide additional insight and personal experiences.
