Are You Grounded? / Plants Are Sentient! / Human Composting!
Grounding or Earthing - when you plug yourself into Mother Earth, is claimed to reduce inflammation and stress and to help you get a better night's sleep. I tried it with some predictable results. A study by an Italian neuro-biologist claims that plants are aware and know what's going on. But what does this mean for vegans? What sort of legacy do you want to leave behind when you die? How about human composting and returning to nature and being a tree? If you enjoyed today's episode, or in fact, any of the others it would be great if you could like them or subscribe so you don't miss anymore. Thank you for listening and if you feel like buying me a coffee so I can carry on what I’m doing, I’d really appreciate it and you can do that here. Are Fish Oils Worth It? / Reverse Bucket List Key To Happiness / Home Remedies!!??
Fish Oils! – millions of us take them daily to ward off dementia and sharpen our brain…but, a recent study suggests we maybe on a hiding to nothing. And the secret to happiness is apparently a bucket list, but not just any old bucket list, oh no. A reverse bucket list! And finally, home remedies for what ails ya. Do they really work? Do you really need to tie a dead mole around your neck if you have a cough? Only one way to find out! This is the link for the Fish Oil segment if you want to know more: The new study was a 24-month, randomised, double-blind, placebo-controlled trial published in eBioMedicine in June 2026. It randomised 365 adults aged 55–80 to 2 g/day DHA or placebo; 47% carried APOE4. DHA levels in cerebrospinal fluid increased, demonstrating that the supplement reached the central nervous system, but there was no significant difference in cognition or brain volumes after two years. A major limitation is that 38% of participants dropped out, largely because of COVID-19, so the findings shouldn't be interpreted as proof that omega-3 has no health benefits whatsoever. Too Much Coffee?! / Cruising For Life? / Raw Milk - Good or Bad?
How much coffee is too much coffee? Is there such a thing - and how can we make sure that it's not affecting our health? Have you thought about your retirement? Some people have opted to sell up and cruise for the rest of their days. Is this the key to happiness?
