This Day in His-Story by American Heritage Worldwide
Episode notes
National Polar Bear Day celebrates the incredible Polar bear, the largest land carnivore on Earth and a powerful Arctic marine mammal. Living across the Arctic regions of Canada, Alaska, Greenland, Russia, and Norway, polar bears are uniquely adapted to freezing conditions with thick fur, blubber, black skin for heat absorption, and massive paws for swimming and hunting seals. Mothers raise their tiny cubs in snow dens before teaching them survival skills, reminding us of the strength, resilience, and nurturing care found in families.
