In this episode of The Vancrux Podcast, we explore the simulation hypothesis, from Plato’s Allegory of the Cave, Descartes’ evil demon and Kant’s unknowable reality to Nick Bostrom’s simulation argument and the possibility that advanced technology could create indistinguishable simulated worlds. We examine ideas from quantum mechanics, information theory, consciousness, glitches, the Mandela Effect and the limits of perception, while asking whether reality could be computationally constructed.
