Episode notes

It’s officially back-to-school season, and everyone is stressed.

It’s a triangle, from parents and teachers to the students, if one side starts to crack, the other two feel the strain immediately. Because anxiety thrives on the unknown, sometimes the best thing you can do is take a step back and give your brain a little sense of control. Don’t worry about the whole school year, or even the whole day. Just focus on the next ten minutes, and how you can make the most of them.

If that sounds familiar, Kim Dillon, a Licensed Clinical Mental Health Counselor with Therapeutic Partners, PLLC, is here with some top tips to help make this school year a little easier.

Today's Takeaway: "We have to remember to protect our kids with a sense of calm, protect our teens with space, and our teachers with patience."
