I'm pleased to bring to the show the deep thinking of an artist I admire whose work continues to intrigue and challenge me.
Daniel Domig's work infiltrates the unconscious with alarming precision and emotional intensity. He contends with the insta-image and digital marketplace of immediatism that floods modern consciousness. His is a process-based art form exploring human connection, among other things. We spoke about these connections, the loss of poetry as a means of expression of the soul, and how paintings provide us hospitality. His art invites the viewer to linger and listen to the sounds of our own inner voices in dialogue with his images.
