Gorsuch Joins Thomas on the Naughty List
The Perpetual Stew with Matt and Sarah by Matthew Goodman
Episode notes
In this shameful episode, Matt and Sarah explore Justice Neil Gorsuch's suspicious real estate deal with the chief executive at a law firm that has participated in at least 22 cases before SCOTUS during Gorsuch's tenure.
Gorsuch, along with two co-investors, had tried in vain to sell a property in Colorado for nearly two years. Nine days after Gorsuch was confirmed to SCOTUS, he sold the property to Brian Duffy, the chief executive of Greenberg Traurig, a firm with consistent business before the Court.
While Gorsuch recorded the sale and his haul of up to $500,000 on his financial disclosure forms, he conveniently omitted the name of the buyer, leaving that box blank.
What ethics scandal at the Supreme Court?
Nothing to see here, move along, peasants.
