We're back in space with first time guest Ray Straight as we watch Stanley Kubrick's 1968 masterpiece (not Katelynn's words) 2001: A Space Odyssey.

Paul, Katelynn, and Ray talk about the myriad ways in which this movie does and does not work for them and discuss whether or not it offers a hopeful vision for the future and what it says about humanity now and in the past.

The also touch on the brilliant cinematography and production design and bring their unique perspectives to what exactly the plot means. Ray even offers his unique insight from the perspective of a professional editor.

Plus, some Oscar talk! Even though this comes out the day after the Oscars and everything said will be outdated...or will it?
