Season 1
The Person in the Mirror
What do you see when you look at yourself? In Episode 4 of The Way Back to You, I explore the relationship we have with the person in the mirror. This episode is about much more than physical appearance. It is about accepting our changing bodies, recognizing our strengths, facing the choices we made in the past and learning to replace punishment with compassion. I share my own experiences with body image, hypothyroidism, menopause, strength training, self-doubt and forgiveness. Because acceptance does not mean we stop changing. It means we stop hating ourselves while we change. Reflection questions: • What do you say to yourself when you look in the mirror? • Are you waiting to look different before allowing yourself to live fully? • Is there a previous version of yourself you are still punishing? • Where are you mistaking self-doubt for humility? • If you looked at yourself with compassion instead of criticism, what would you see? The Way Back to You is a podcast about self-trust, authenticity, courage, growth and purpose. I’m Yanira Ramirez, and this is The Way Back to You. #TheWayBackToYou #SelfCompassion #SelfAcceptance #BodyImage #SelfWorth #PersonalGrowth #PersonalGrowth #Purpose #Authenticity #SelfTrust #CareerChange #LifePurpose #PersonalDevelopment #Podcast #FindingYourself #Boundaries #HealthyRelationships #PeoplePleasing #SelfRespect
When Keeping the Peace Costs too Much
Many of us learn to keep the peace, avoid discomfort and put other people's needs before our own. In this episode, Yanira explores people-pleasing, boundaries, self-respect and what happens when keeping the peace comes at the expense of ourselves. Reflection questions: Where are you abandoning yourself? Which conversations are you avoiding? What would self-respect really means?
The Life I Thought I Wanted
Sometimes we achieve the things we once wanted and still feel something is missing. In this episode, Yanira reflects on external success, expectations and the difference between building the life we were told to want and building the life that is truly ours. Reflection questions: Whose definition of success are you living? What are you pursuing because you genuinely want it? What would you choose if nobody was watching?
Coming Home to Yourself
What happens when you realise you've become disconnected from yourself? In this opening episode, Yanira explores the idea of coming home to yourself, the subtle ways we lose ourselves in expectations and achievement, and the courage required to begin listening again. Reflection questions: When did you stop listening to yourself? What part of you is asking for attention? What would it mean to come home to yourself?
