How Do You Know When Your Soul is Speaking?
How Do You Know When Your Soul Is Speaking? If you've ever wondered why one part of you feels deeply excited about a new opportunity while another part is filled with fear and "what if" questions, this episode is for you. In last week's episode, we explored the language of the mind—how it protects, plans, analyzes, and works tirelessly to keep us safe. This week, we turn our attention to another voice that's just as important, yet far quieter: the soul. What if your soul has been speaking to you all along? What if you've simply never been taught its language? Drawing from more than 25 years of studying spirituality, faith, neuroscience, psychology, meditation, and personal transformation, Lisa introduces one of the foundational principles of the Soul Framework: the mind, soul, and spirit each communicate differently. Learning to recognize those voices can completely transform the way you make decisions, navigate uncertainty, and move through life. In this episode, you'll discover: • Why most people are naturally mind-led. • How the soul communicates through quiet feelings rather than urgency. • The difference between fear and peaceful inner knowing. • Why the soul doesn't always say "yes"—sometimes it gently says "not yet" or "this isn't your path." • Practical ways to begin recognizing your own inner guidance in everyday life. • A simple practice you can use this week to become a student of your own experience. This isn't about abandoning logic or ignoring your mind. Your mind is an incredible gift. The invitation is simply to make room for another voice—one that often speaks first but is easily drowned out by the noise of everyday life. This week, pay attention to your first feeling before your mind begins explaining everything away. You may discover that what you've been searching for has been quietly speaking to you all along. If this episode resonated with you, I'd love for you to subscribe, leave a review, and share it with someone who may need this conversation today. Next week, we complete the trilogy by exploring the third voice in the room: How Do You Know When the Spirit Is Speaking? Until then... Keep listening. Keep noticing. Keep rising. Lisa
How Do You Know When Your Mind is Speaking?
Have you ever talked yourself out of something you wanted before you ever took the first step? “What if I fail?” “What if people judge me?” “What if I’m not ready?” “What if everything goes wrong?” That familiar voice inside your head can feel like doubt, fear, or self-sabotage — but what if your mind isn’t actually working against you? What if it’s simply trying to protect you? In this episode of Soul Current with Lisa, we explore the first voice within The Soul Framework™ — the mind. Your mind is powerful. It analyzes, plans, organizes, remembers, and works constantly to keep you safe. It carries your past experiences, lessons, heartbreaks, failures, and moments of uncertainty so it can help you navigate life. The problem begins when the mind moves from protector… to driver. When the mind becomes the loudest voice in the room, we can find ourselves living from fear instead of possibility. We avoid the dream. We stay in the familiar. We choose the predictable path — not because it’s aligned, but because it feels safe. In this conversation, we explore: Why your mind creates the “what if” spiral How fear often disguises itself as logic Why discomfort doesn’t always mean you’re making the wrong choice How the mind uses the past to predict the future Why awareness is the first step toward creating change How to begin recognizing the difference between protection and limitation The goal is not to silence your mind. The goal is to understand it. Your mind is not the enemy. It is a beautiful, necessary part of who you are. But like any part of us, it needs balance. Because the same mind that protects you from danger can also protect you from growth. Sometimes the very thing your soul is calling you toward is the thing your mind is trying to talk you out of — not because you shouldn’t do it, but because you’ve never done it before. Growth requires stepping beyond what your mind already knows. This episode invites you to begin listening differently. To notice your thoughts. To question old stories. To recognize when fear has taken the microphone. Because when you understand the mind voice, you begin creating space to hear something deeper. Your mind protects. Your soul guides. Your spirit connects. And learning how these three voices work together is where the shift begins. The Three Voices That Determine EVERY Decision You Make!
Your soul spoke to you this morning. Before your feet touched the ground. Before your first cup of coffee. Before your phone buzzed with the first notification of the day. Your soul spoke to you — and you either knew it, or you had absolutely no idea. Here is the truth. Your soul speaks to you every single morning. And it will speak to you several times throughout the day. Most of us just were never told that. Nobody sat us down and said — hey. You have three distinct voices living inside you right now. Three voices that each want different things for you in this lifetime. Three voices that each speak to you differently. And each one of them deserves to be heard. In this episode, I introduce you to all three. This morning, I took the dogs out at sunrise and felt something I now recognize immediately — a tingle in my chest, a deep sense of connection. That was my soul speaking. And while I stood in that feeling, I noticed an expansion — something larger than just me and the moment. My spirit. And then, at that exact moment, a bus drove by with the word ASCENSION on the side. Simultaneously, a bald eagle flew directly overhead. That is a synchronistic event. That is your spirit communicating and confirming where you are. And then — right on cue — my mind kicked in. What if you are wrong? I smiled. Because that is exactly what your mind does. It is not your enemy. It is just doing its job. In today's episode we cover: — The three distinct voices living inside you — your mind, your soul, and your spirit — and why they are not the same thing — Why your soul always speaks first — before your mind has a chance to complicate things — How to tell which voice you are actually hearing in any given moment — The Friends framework — why your mind is Monica, your soul is Rachel, and your spirit is Phoebe — How to use all three voices together when facing a big decision — so you lead with your soul, acknowledge your mind's valid concerns, and pay attention to the synchronicities your spirit sends — Why what if I fail is not a reason to say no to something your soul already said yes to This episode is for anyone who has ever felt a flutter of excitement about something and then immediately talked themselves out of it. It is for anyone who has wondered whether that quiet persistent thought that keeps coming back is trying to tell them something. It is for anyone who is tired of letting the loudest voice in the room make all the decisions. Your soul votes first. Your mind checks the details. Your spirit confirms the direction. Why Life Feels Blocked, and How to Break Through
Have you ever wondered why, no matter how much you try, your goals and desires just don’t seem to show up? You’re not alone. Studies show that 90–95% of people who try “manifestation” techniques don’t achieve their intended results—and it’s not because you’re doing it wrong or you don’t deserve it. The real reason is often that most approaches meet you in the middle of the staircase instead of at the beginning. In this episode, we break down what’s truly blocking your dreams—and the one first step most people skip that makes all the difference. I’ll share why jumping straight to visualization, affirmations, or manifestation tools doesn’t work if you haven’t addressed the foundation. We’ll explore the first phase of my framework, The Stirring, which helps you reconnect to your soul’s whispers, notice what’s calling you, and prepare yourself for true alignment. You’ll learn how small, intentional shifts can release blocks, spark clarity, and get you moving toward a life that feels effortless and fully aligned with who you are. Along the way, I’ll highlight a few key insights from my book The Stirring, available on Amazon—your companion guide to discovering what your soul has been nudging you toward. And this episode is just the beginning. In upcoming episodes, we’ll move into the next steps: the Awakening and Alignment, showing you exactly how to build a staircase that takes you all the way to ascension without overwhelm. The Shocking Truth About Manifestation
Manifestation isn’t wrong. But it might not be where you need to start. In this episode, we’re talking about the part no one really explains — the prerequisite that makes manifestation actually work. Nearly 40% of people actively practice manifestation techniques like visualization, affirmations, and acting as if. Yet the overwhelming majority report feeling frustrated, stuck, or disappointed by their results. Why? Because manifestation is often taught as step five… and most people are still at step one. That step is awareness. Awareness isn’t overthinking. It isn’t obsessing over your mindset. It’s being present enough to notice what’s happening inside you while it’s happening. Can you notice a fearful thought without becoming it? Can you feel anxiety without letting it make your decisions? Can you recognize intuition when it speaks quietly instead of drowning it out with noise? We also unpack what “alignment” actually means — beyond vague phrases about matching vibrations. Alignment isn’t about trying to energetically match a house, a relationship, or a career. It’s when your mind, your inner knowing, and your connection to something bigger than you (however you define that — universal energy, higher power, God, intuition) are working together instead of against each other. When those parts are aligned, you begin to notice opportunities. Conversations. Connections. Synchronicities. The small moments that feel like doors quietly opening. Manifestation isn’t something you force. It’s what unfolds when you stop fighting yourself. If you’ve been trying to think harder, visualize better, or push more — this episode will help you understand why the foundation matters more than the technique. Because you don’t need more manifestation tools. You need more awareness.

When Life Feels Like It's Falling Apart
Episode 5: When Life Feels Like It’s Falling Apart Have you ever felt like everything in your life is unraveling — like things are getting worse instead of better? If so, you’re not alone, and you’re not broken. In this episode, Lisa explores one of the most disorienting experiences on the spiritual journey: the Stirring phase. During the Stirring, old patterns, unresolved emotions, and buried memories rise to the surface. Life can feel chaotic, emotionally overwhelming, or even frightening. Many of us ask ourselves, “Did I do something wrong? Should I stick this out?” These are normal responses to a powerful inner transformation, and this episode helps you understand why this phase happens, what it really means, and how to navigate it with clarity and compassion. Lisa also shares her own reflections on this transformative phase, and explains why the Stirring was so significant that it became the subject of her first book, The Stirring. You’ll gain insight into how to observe the turbulence without judgment, ground yourself in presence, and recognize that falling apart can actually be a sign that transformation is underway. Whether you’ve been following the podcast or are just discovering it, this episode offers validation, guidance, and reassurance for anyone navigating life’s upheavals on the spiritual path. Falling apart doesn’t mean falling away — it means change is happening beneath the surface, and you’re exactly where you need to be.
Why You Feel Empty and Want More
Episode 4: Why You Feel Empty and Want More Have you ever felt like something is missing in your life, even when everything seems fine on the outside? That quiet feeling of emptiness, that subtle tug toward “more,” is something many of us experience but rarely talk about. In this episode of Soul Current, we dive into the stirring — the phase that follows the initial sense of restlessness (what I call pre-stirring) — when your awareness stops being passive and starts to move. During the stirring, memories, emotions, and experiences that you’ve buried for years begin to rise to the surface. Grief, shame, embarrassment, and regret — even moments you thought you had already healed — may resurface unexpectedly. This can feel unsettling, but it’s a natural and essential part of your spiritual journey. We talk about what the stirring is — and what it isn’t. You’re not expected to fix your emotions, change your thoughts, or analyze why things come up. The goal is simple: notice what arises, feel it in your body, and allow it to be there without judgment. By doing this, you stop pushing down what’s inside and give your inner system a chance to reorganize naturally, helping you move toward stability and alignment. In this episode, you’ll learn how to recognize the stirring, understand why old feelings and buried memories appear, and know how to respond in a way that’s gentle and grounding. Whether it’s grief from loss, shame from past mistakes, or emotions you’ve been avoiding, the stirring gives you the opportunity to face what’s inside with awareness and compassion. If you’ve been feeling hollow, restless, or like life should be more than it feels right now, this episode will help you understand what’s happening inside you and why it matters — without feeling pressured to fix or change anything. You’ll walk away with clarity, reassurance, and a simple practice for noticing and allowing your inner world to surface safely.
When Nothing is Wrong -But Something Feels Off
What You May Experience During Pre-Stirring In the last two episodes, we explored the restlessness that often signals the beginning of a spiritual journey. That quiet, nagging feeling that something isn’t quite right in your life, even if nothing is “wrong.” In this episode, we dive deeper into the pre-stirring phase—the subtle inner shifts that come before clarity, insight, and alignment. Many people experience this phase in similar ways: Feeling dissatisfied with routines or accomplishments that used to feel satisfying Questioning long-held beliefs, habits, or patterns Experiencing emotional highs and lows without a clear cause Feeling drawn to introspection, personal growth, or spiritual exploration Wondering if life has more to offer than what you’re currently experiencing Pre-stirring is natural and necessary. It’s your soul quietly nudging you toward the next phase of growth, the stirring. In this episode, we talk about how to notice these experiences, understand their purpose, and begin engaging with them in ways that prepare you for the shifts to come. We’ll explore practical steps to lean into pre-stirring: observing without judgment, journaling, reflecting on what truly matters, allowing curiosity to guide you, and being gentle with yourself. These small, intentional practices help you honor your restlessness while setting the stage for deeper insight and growth. If you’ve been feeling restless, questioning, or unsure, this episode will help you recognize that you’re in the right place. You’re not broken. You’re not behind. You’re simply in the early stages of an inner journey that can lead to clarity, alignment, and fulfillment. Sometimes, the journey doesn’t start with answers. It starts with noticing. Let's rise! ~ Lisa
That Feeling of Internal Restlessness? It Has a Name.
What Do You Call That Feeling of Internal Restlessness? Have you ever felt a subtle, almost unnoticeable restlessness inside you—like something isn’t quite right, but you can’t put your finger on it? That feeling might seem confusing, frustrating, or even a little worrying, but it’s actually a sign. It’s the start of something important—a signal that your inner world is shifting. In this episode, we explore this initial stage of spiritual growth, which I call pre-stirring. Pre-stirring is the quiet, internal awareness that comes before clarity, before the “aha” moments, before life feels aligned. It’s a time when your soul begins nudging you toward something greater, even if you don’t fully understand it yet. We’ll discuss how to recognize these subtle inner stirrings, why they matter, and how leaning into them—even just a little—can prepare you for the powerful shifts that are coming. This episode is a short, gentle guide for anyone feeling a quiet restlessness and wondering, what is this feeling, and why is it happening now? Sometimes the journey doesn’t start with answers. It starts with noticing. Let's rise, together. ~ Lisa
