In this episode, we talk all things STEM with Lara Cross, Director of the Sheedy Family Center for Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics. Students Audrey Koo '26 and Lara Alp '27 share their experience as STEM kids at Kinkaid and the work they have done so far in their careers.
We’re excited to launch Season One of The Perch with a powerful conversation on belonging. Our first guest, Mujidat Shotonwa, offers both a practitioner’s perspective and her own personal journey, giving us a thoughtful look at what it truly means to belong. Then we hear from Nandipa Chery, Kinkaid Class of ’28, who shares her valuable insight on how belonging initiatives are taking shape at Kinkaid—and how they’re helping students succeed.
In our pilot episode, we welcome Kinkaid's Head of School, Jonathan Eades, and faculty Poet Laureate, Karen LaVohn. Our conversations center on what makes this year's back-to-school season special and how wellness is so critical to our personal successes.
