I’ve met dangerous glyphs before.
Massive ones. Violent ones. Even ancient ones capable of wiping entire settlements off the map. But nothing has ever unsettled me quite like the Time Jag.
Not because it’s aggressive.
Because it remembers.
The first time we saw one was high within the freezing cliffs of Frostspine Reach. At first it almost looked peaceful perched against the snow-covered mountains beneath the three moons. Its galaxy-like feathers shimmered like living stars and the compass embedded in its chest spun endlessly while it watched us silently from above.
Then it teleported.
No warning.
No sound.
One second it was on the cliff.
The next it was beside us.
And honestly? Meerno fainting was a completely reasonable response.
