In the next 24 hours. Here's the story. Low pressure develops near Boston this evening and tracks right into the Gulf of Maine. That means we're looking at a classic setup for widespread snow. Folks in Portland see flakes start flying by 2 P.M. That evening commute is going to get slick, so plan ahead. You're looking at 2 to 4 inches piling up by morning. Head inland to Augusta and Bangor.
