Here's the deal. Step outside in Portland and you're right at 32 degrees. Freezing, but barely. A light north wind at 5 to 10 miles an hour keeps things honest. There's a slight chance of flurries, but nothing that'll stick to your windshield.
Now head up the coast. Downeast and Midcoast, you're sitting at 28 degrees. Dry and quiet. Bangor checks in at 29. Central Maine, 30. Pretty tight spread there.
The Western Mountains? That's your cold spot today at 26 degrees. A light northeast breeze makes it bite a little harder. Perfect conditions up at Sugarloaf if you're chasing turns this weekend. And up in Aroostook, you're at 28 degrees with gusts hitting 13 miles an hour. That wind finds ...
