If the process is messy, high-risk, or highly variable, full automation can magnify errors instead of reducing them. Another mistake is treating AI as a replacement for human judgment in areas where the work depends on nuance, interpretation, and responsibility.
In unstructured industries, AI should support judgment first, and automate only the narrow parts that are stable enough to govern.
